  1. I sold a comic for $114 on a recent MCS auction that I had a duplicate of for BIN on MCS for $90, so that's definitely true. Both same grade.
  2. It literally says on their website there are security cameras at receiving for opening. So that's BS. Unless of course their security cameras aren't actually turned on which I would fully believe at this point.
  3. I'm curious, from a close up perspective does it look like it got folded back during slabbing or is it folded like it would with the weight of a heat press? I'd assume slabbing, but nowadays...
  4. The grade date is 2000. Chances are the grader notes were a lot more detailed then and that's to show why it wasn't a 10. Or in the reholder they damaged the comic and just made a note of it.
  5. Only to play devils advocate, if you're the USPS guy delivering to Heritage, you're definitely going to be under a microscope. My guess would be someone stealing from a parked truck. I'd also be shocked if USPS admitted theft.
  6. I've learned to just write in Sharpie directly on the returned ME slab what the problem is so it's very obvious.
  7. My guess it was left deliberately vague and up for interpretation. I imagine it's 14 days from contact for those that push back, and 14 days to back in CGC's hands for those for that don't. I remember having to argue with CS over an ME newton issue about a year ago because they said it wasn't returnable, and the only reason they allowed it was because I had literally link them the updated policy posted on these forums.
  8. If you're CGC you just have to hope the customer doesn't inspect it closely for two weeks.
  9. 100% agree. That's a very dangerous precedent they're setting. If anything it should be a refund AND credit.
  10. Loved it, my only complaint was some of the audio was really bad in my screening. Apparently this is not just an isolated screening incident. I couldn't understand pretty much any of what Gwen was saying when she was narrating. It was a Dolby Atmos screening too that felt like I was missing the whole right audio channel.
  11. I think they forgot the scuffs and plastic shards in that. Also, anyone else find it weird Comics is not centered?
  12. I think the more important question is, how long do they look when they aren't being observed?
  13. My thoughts too. Sounds like a remnant from an old style label or something.
  14. I believe it's generally around 50.
  15. I had some books that were well past the 14 day mark they were okay fixing a few months back including atrocious newton rings. Another was 2 years old and not an original submission (debris). I had to hold off on sending due to some personal issues taking over my life around the same time, so knowing I could follow up later, I put it lower on my priority. Followed up about two months ago and they denied me on all. I had to argue about their stated policy along with my prior conversation before they let me send in some. In the end I was still denied one which was previously approved. So yeah, the fact they're 180ing on their stated policy is a problem.
  16. I know this thread is starting to beat the dead horse, but I feel the problem isn't just about newton rings. It's about how 6 months ago CGC did the right thing and said they'd own up and fix their problems for free. Then 6 months later they do a complete 180 turnaround and basically give the whole community a giant FU.
  17. Who wants to bet the new return shipping will be the slowest possible method to ensure it takes over 14 days. Also noticed it says received, not delivered. So it can be delivered, but they can just not process it received for two weeks. Once my credit is drained, I'm definitely done submitting.
  18. It's possible they changed it. They definitely took out the fees with the GSP.
  19. Pretty sure eBay also charges you an additional 3-4% in currency fees to process these.
  20. Let's not forget we've had like 1.5 original characters from comics show up on the screen.
  21. Actually I'll be curious to see if these are to help with QC. If you can see the scans before they ship, hopefully they can correct QC issues before they go out. They may also be able to automate label issues if basic AI can scan and read a label and compare existing pictures in a database.
  22. Nice case scratch on the bottom right there.
