  1. From what I've seen, people who sell on whatnot aren't your small personal collectors.
  2. Buying on FOMO is what Whatnot capitalizes on. I'd avoid.
  3. Hi Mike, Question for you. I was getting ready to resubmit 2 Newton ring comics when I realized I have two others I'd like to submit. One has what appears be a pen mark and the other has what looks to be a sharpy mark on the covers. Being 9.8 and 9.6 respectively which means that that had to have come from CGC. Now both marks could be something that is not actually pen/sharpy, but something removable and stuck on the cover which is what I'm hoping. My question is what happens if they reslab as a ME and they get a grade ding from something that had to have occurred during the original slabbing? I'm the original owner of both, but both were submitted from a dealer account that's been well over 2 weeks ago.
  4. I second this. I believe it costs like $15, but they can definitely redirect.
  5. Have you tried contacting them? I know bulk sales they say to contact them directly.
  6. Umm do you know Gemini sells them directly in bulk? https://geminicomicsupply.com/products/comic-flash-mailers-1?variant=39942187942079
  7. Great news, thank you for helping to make this happen. Out of curiosity, where do newton rings fall in this!
  8. Essentially the black Friday deal was just adding back the 10% member discount for 25 books.
  9. Just tried it myself. That's weird. It's the word "subscription".
  10. Well if this has taught me anything, it's never trust BTC that their exclusives are exclusives.
  11. Post Covid? It's a respectable number. They'll still be well in the black with this one. There's also a decent chunk of change Disney can probably claim from D+ as revenue once this airs too.
  12. Sounds like Zelle is going to be pretty popular next year. They are not sending out 1099s even over the $600 threshold. https://www.zellepay.com/faq/does-zelle-report-how-much-money-i-receive-irs
  13. I think the dynamic is finally shifting on TV/Film speculating, but regarding Sandman, that spec has been out there for ages. The initial hype for that one has long past, and the buy in is too high for most casual collectors.
  14. Finally saw it yesterday. I'd give it about a 6/10. I know virtually nothing about Namor, but I liked the portrayal. I feel like the actor did well and the character has potential. Losing Boseman let this movie have a really good reason to develop a solid story over endless action scenes, but they wasted it. Story felt like a 2.5hr CSI drama with boring action scenes. If you're going to have a movie specializing in close combat instead of lasers, hire actors who can do that. I'm tired of all these action scenes where they're fighting for eternity, but no one is sweating, no one is bleeding, and no named characters ever die. End credits scene was beautiful.
  15. I'm going to go way out in left field and say those Tyler Kirkham bloody variants that originated with the Invincible issues. The artwork is terrible on reprinted comics.
  16. I would argue Musk is an excellent salesman (one of the best in the world) and nothing more. The people who work for him are the ones making the world better.
  17. It's true he probably has the longest wait of them all. That being said, he's also not the greatest at updating his website's TAT.
  18. Unfortunately the turnaround times are long because they are respected. If you're looking at short turnarounds, they're newer on the block. Some like Avery Pressing and Impressive have fast track pressing, but it's not cheap. If you're looking for a quick press on your everyday modern, you can probably go with some of the smaller companies and be fine. If your books take time and effort, don't skimp. Besides those two I'd also suggest @joeypost at CFP.
  19. If it helps, I got a renewal notice probably a week ago. I think you can only renew if it's within 30 days of expiring.
  20. Just call CGC. I had the problem and they took care of it easy. All I had to do was send an email where I wanted it redirected to. Yeah it's annoying, but it is fixable. Also it's FedEx ground. They completely ignore the signature requirement and just forge it.
  21. Good deal! Just renewed for $79 too. Don't plan on any submissions soon, but that's like 3 free modern comics to submit.
  22. It'd be hilarious if people bought 9.8s and cracked them and submitted them for new grading just to mess with the census.
  23. There's always publisher and artist comp copies. That's likely one of those. Generally most places that claim a limited number will small print this.
