  1. Technically all the scammer would need to do is fabricate a replacement of the weakest version of the CGC slabs that have been designed. Still a challenge, but significantly easier.
  2. Post office charges like $15 to reroute to a facility, so in that regard UPS is cheaper. You can also pay around $20 a year or $40ish for a lifetime ability to reroute. Definitely worth it if you get UPS a lot.
  3. Nah, they still exist. They just always seem to show up the day after I purchase a big ticket item.
  4. Best solution to this is to supply watermarked photos of every slabbed book in the census. I know it's only useful to books going forward, but it would make it harder to counterfeit. Too bad they didn't do this earlier when they still had time to prepare for this problem instead of trying to monetize it.
  5. There's 50(!) 9.9 reds. It's amazing that when you team up with CGC suddenly your grades get higher.
  6. I don't think it's unrealistic that potential artist copies were cherry picked as well. Something similar happened with the Radiant Black #1 foil fiasco. Also, looks like they were graded around Jan 10th. Maybe replacement copies for damaged ones with the whole case issue?
  7. Prince Namor, the Savage Sub-Mariner #67 (Nov. 1972)
  8. Artist comps probably. Also the listing said limited to 300. It doesn't say only 300 exist. (Or at least I can't find that.)
  9. https://comicbookinvest.com/2020/01/18/star-wars-comics-1st-appearances-master-list/
  10. Pictures? I haven't had any issues, but I'm in a low humidity and heat climate.
  11. D23 Spiderman comics. X-Men 510 JSC cover. Shield 1 partial sketch if you could ever find a copy of that.
  12. Only to play devil's advocate here, it's probably likely the grader's note was supposed to be 8.0, not 9.0.
  13. I guess it depends on your refund policy. If you say no refunds, I'd contact Ebay CS and explain your situation and have them look at the messages. If the item is as described, and he just wants to return it because he's now unhappy, I'd see if you can get them to deny the refund. If you accept refunds, you may have no recourse. I just hope you don't have to pay shipping. You should also note the weights of what you sent and the item returned in case he tries to scam you.
  14. It's pretty well known on these forums Fedex is terrible. This other post by Mike may help you.
  15. I wonder if there's a spine roll. I know those ding books pretty heavily.
  16. 26 boxes? Wow. You'd need probably a van to transport all those right? Should narrow down in and out vehicles I'd think. Does the storage company offer any sort of insurance compensation?
  17. If you had over 20k in income and 200 sales, then yes.
  18. I'd say about 0%. Even if they cancel it, it's probably been reported to the IRS already. It's on you to list the deductions and cancellations on your taxes.
  19. Allows buyers to stay even more anonymous? Though it does seem shilly.
  20. i just assume my Ebay sale is final value minus 15%. Makes it easier when deciding to sell.
