  1. Did you have cancellations or returns? Last year I sold something for 8k, but the buyer cancelled on me. The buyer never even paid, but my 1099 showed it as income. Definitely wasn't happy since I magically had an 8k "return" on my taxes that's probably a huge red flag.
  2. As in the initial sale was $100+12.9% (so $112.90), or the sale was $100 and they're counting it as $100 regardless of the 12.9% ($87.10)? If it's the second one, it's up to you to deduct those fees from your business expenses. They also tack on any returns you accrued.
  3. You can always email them. I had one that spanned the entire right side of the slab and they said it was in the margin of error or some BS like that.
  4. I think it's a thing with the sonic weld not fully welding. I've had a few in the past and was told they won't fix them for free.
  5. Parcel post is going to be a lot more popular here soon. That actually went down in price. What really hurts is the cost of shipping a comic in a Gemini has gone up about 60 cents if shipping coast to coast. Hope they can oust Dejoy here soon.
  6. Makes me wonder if somehow the foil cover is causing abrasion inside the slab somehow.
  7. I'm not the best pre-modern grader but that still sounds off. What page color did they end up with?
  8. Out of curiosity, did they appear to you like a 9.2 and 8.5 before pressing/grading? That's a pretty big drop, what did the grader's notes say?
  9. Does slab bagging occur at packing stage or encapsulation phase?
  10. In the end what you or I think doesn't really matter. The market is decided by the 1st or 2nd Google result that 99% of the collectors/speculators will take as gospel if they plan to invest. I have no really opinion on this, but you're best off making the argument to places like KeyCollector if you feel strongly about #2.
  11. Interesting. So places like MCS don't have to deal with 1099s?
  12. It's fine. Realistically it's less about the carrier and more about how it's shipped. If the box can't support at least a 35lb weight on any side, you need to reinforce it more.
  13. You're not set to vacation mode are you? That can be set to block offers while away.
  14. I wouldn't worry too much yet. It's definitely longer than I'd like to see between tracking updates, but it's not uncommon Registered doesn't get tracking updates. Also keep in mind much of the country has been hammered by storms in the past two weeks. There's likely been a lot of delays here and there not to mention the holiday package traffic is probably only now back to a normal pace.
  15. As a long time EverQuest player, some of those are amazing. Wish I had the scratch to buy those.
  16. I had an issue with a payout about a year ago not going through too. They were quick to rectify it and gave me a discount code as an apology. I don't really use them often, but the people behind it seem like good people.
  17. As a huge peddler of exclusives, I wonder if this is a sign of the times that they aren't much of a money maker anymore.
  18. Stupid question, but did you talk to the PO that you dropped it off at? It's possible the address label got ripped off and it's still there in holding. I'd try the same at your local PO distribution hub.
  19. 5% eBay Bucks right now. Can couple that with 2% from the Capital Ones Shopping App.
  20. I believe it's because Zelle acts more as a wire transfer than a payment processing center like PayPal. Yes it's basically the same thing, but the letter of the law apparently is written so Zelle can loophole around it.
  21. If postage is bought online, they generally just charge your card/shipping client the cost of priority. Otherwise they will make the receiver pay the difference at the post office.
  22. The trick is to sell it quick enough that someone can't research the price beforehand.
  23. 25,000,000 packages go through the post office each day. If you're not packing with that in mind, frankly that's on you. Also, if you're sending something media mail, the literal cheapest way to send something, do not expect 1st class service.
  24. I'd guess a comp copy too, but that means the printing was completed. I wonder if it was a test printing copy?
