  2. Got both of these for $15.58 a piece A Poor JO #134 but staples firmly attached and not brittle saved it IMO, I'll show the back then the front and the other is a NM-/+ Ms. M #17, I'll show the front then the back
  3. Snap both cover's were considered 9.8? that's a nice copy
  4. I submitted, I want to say the first couple of weeks of January. I submitted through the LCS though. No word yet. It's going on 2 1/2 months. It was only 1 book, I believe economy non-fastrack, as it was an ASM 129.
  5. "....he shoulda' better, known better..."--John Revolta--Pulp Fiction "..You've got a point, c'mon let's get into character!"----Samuel L. Jackson---Pulp Fiction
  6. @wormboy I've seen those on ebay sell for some change even though it got a Restored grade because the person went ahead and glued the loose leaf cover to the book. If I recall correctly it did get a universal label (not sure on that) but it did have the double cover on the lable so that's something, right....
  7. @NoMan I think that this is a good topic for a noob like me that's sure there are ton's of great stories out there! Mine are embarassing but for not what you think: Batman Adventures origin of Harley Quinn (thought the cartoon Batman the Animated Series was good enough) Harley Quinn 1999 no # the origin of Harley Quinn within the DC Universe and Amazing Spiderman 300, I mean I do have that silly Walmart mini ASM 300 just never read it.
  8. wow I would have said 3.0, but I assume you did the pressing and dry cleaning, I never can guestimate after that... CONGRATULATIONS LOOKIN' GOOD
  9. When I was in 5th grade about 1991-92, it's funny what I thought women looked like ha. One of the azrael was close to a batman/azrael cover, you may recognize it. I always liked to doodle as a kid
  10. I have old drawings done as a kid too, mostly Mario stuff when I was 5 or 6 in 1986 or '87, and one AZRAEL drawing I did around 1992. If I had a scan I'd post it's funny when were kids we think to hold on to it
  11. Good eye I wouldn't have noticed a difference due to me not shopping for one until recently. While I dug the cartoon as a kid the comic never created enough of a buzz for me to read it.....is there much of a difference between the DKR #1 and the lightning bolts on the cover by Frank Miller? Well anyway I didn't know that there were sometimes that slight of a difference between 1print 2print or 3rd print sometimes, thanks
  12. I must be different than most I was born in 1981 and while I grew up with TMNT, Wolverine, X-men, Spiderman, Punisher, Superman-enough of those characters started in the bronze age in similar popular books. I remember the first time that I heard and saw Silver Surfer I was in awe. While I'm sure that the impression that I got was different than those who first saw it in the Silver Age, I don't feel that deminishes my appreciation. I don't have much of a longing to collect TMNT nor Superman. I did get a kick out of the Batman movie (Adam West and Burt Ward) as a kid (and Batman the animated series), so I can appreciate old Batman comics and don't think of it much as "campy". Superman never really impressed me, as Action 1 was a dream even when I was a kid. I dug the old Superman cartoon but never cared much for the black and white TV show, it seemed corny in a way or not "new" to me (if that makes sense) as I had seen Superman battle Doomsday in the comics. Spiderman shows or cartoons and ultimately movies, I never cared much for. As a kid I got a subscription to "Classic" Amazing Spiderman, so I got the impression of the classic writing and thought it was awesome and a good read Venom hit me the same as Silver Surfer, but when they came out with Carnage I laughed and got turned off cause I thought that they were milking it too much, I do think it would make a decent film if it got the right writer.
  13. SNAP I didn't see that he actually posted a topic to the forum called NEW BOOTY FEEL FREE TO WELCOME ME TO THE BOARDS Oh and @Bratevaro It's all in good fun but I hope you got AN answer that fit what you needed to know, WTTB!!
  14. @Bratevaro The answer to your question can be complicated, but comes down to buy what you like!! You "could" get it graded for a variety of reasons: 1) it's a key 2) it has high value $$$ 3) it has high value to you, ie first comic ever purchased, family member's favorite comic etc. 4) has a cool cover as you will only be able to see the front and back cover once graded. 5) just because 6) because there aren't many graded in the census 7) aren't many graded that have a yellow label signature on them 8) is bronze, silver, or gold age and while it isn't a "key" is in high grade and you want to hold onto it long term...... Many, many, many reasons
  15. If you click on his name, you can see his question, since he/she only has two posts..... He/she was asking what makes a comic worth grading? Does it have to be a key? or have high value?
  16. Sweet submission, shame about the IH though, but you more than make up for it nice AF 15
