  1. My problem with them is that not all are finalized and lots are just thrill-BIN-ning, tire-kickers looking to get a discount or scammers buying with stolen credit cards/hacked Paypal accounts. There is so much scamming going on with eBay it's hardly what would called a "verified sales resource" for comics.
  2. Thanks for the tip, but unless it's a good deal, I tend to stick with White pages for BA. Now if it was $100 shipped, I might just grab it and run. And I'm also hunting for a CGC 9.2-9.4 copy of Marvel Premiere 16 (or NM raw) and I'd probably put that $125 into a CGC 9.6 copy for $160-$170.
  3. It may well have been, since I have yet to see a copy graded with that notation. Now I just need to wait for someone to submit a nice CGC 9.4-9.6 copy.
  4. That Ask CGC thread is really hit or miss. I was looking for buy a CGC copy of Marvel Premiere 23, the first appearance of Warhawk, a prototype of the current Wolveine that Claremont evolved in the X-Men, but I couldn't find one with a notation of this First Appearance. So I asked CGC but I guess the question wasn't approved for publication.
  5. Listen, if it was produced and published by Marvel's MAGAZINE department, distributed through traditional MAGAZINE channels, and sold through MAGAZINE shops and retailers, then it's a MAGAZINE, no matter what's inside. That was the entire purpose of the Marvel Magazine line - to infiltrate traditional MAGAZINE distribution and retail channels to get the higher-end buyers and advertising. Uh, what about Man-Thing's 1st App in Savage Tales #1? 1st appearance, yes. 1st comic book appearance, no. Exactly, and since Man-Thing is not an adapted character, it makes things much simpler.
  6. Is IT purple.... or is it blue? It's Purblue. Or Blurple.
  7. I admit being too lazy to parse the HoS (I did see his name in the list) for the actual transgression, so what'd he do?
  8. No since we're talking about an adapted character, his first print appearance would be in preview magazine or newspaper, so it's his "First drawn appearance in magazine form".
  9. Exactly. No one is saying Marvel Magazine isn't collectible, only that it's not his first comic book appearance.
  10. 11. I wouldn't pay $50 for it. But it's as valuable as someone is willing to pay for it. Shoot I remember thinking that Puma was going to be big, and picking every early-Puma appearance (the first 3 issues or so) out of any cheap bin I could find them in - I probably have quite a few and may need to check some prices.
  12. But they are not comic books, they are magazines, created and published by the magazine department, distributed through magazine distribution and sold in places where traditional magazines were sold. That was their entire purpose, to get Marvel Magazines into Magazine shops, and they are no different than Fangoria.
  13. So were there any pre-release ESB magazines or stories that displayed Boba Fett? I seem to remember reading about the character prior to the movie or comic release.
  14. Who are these people, and are they in a mental hospital? I'll say it one more time for clarity: The TWD Bubble with burst when... get ready for it... when the TV show ratings and quality dip and it looks like it will be cancelled or not renewed for another season. Until then, hold and wait for the apex if you want, but only fools would buy for investment.
  15. Yep, zombies are more popular than stuffed-animals and far less common. Oh, SNAP!
  16. Wrong term, more like "strangely confused and bewildered" as I view people willing to put $10,000 into a single Modern comic the same way I would seeing an blue alien emerging from a flying saucer.
  17. Yep MSS is a comic as well. Nope, it's officially a magazine like SI or Playboy.
  18. Yeah, the TWD nerds really are fired up at me bugging them for paying $10K for a Modern. But honestly, $10K for a Modern has never been a sound investment strategy in the history of comics.
  19. I should have known better than to associate with people willing to pay $10,000 for a Modern.
  20. Sorry, I really don't mind being insulted, but having to read mindless gibberish like this is just too much to ask of anyone. It looks like someone typed in it Mandarin Chinese first and then put it through Google Translate.
