  1. Okay, who's in the mood for a little love? It's Bronze Age romance time! First up....

I Love You #118, Charlton goodness :cloud9:  Why this isn't called out in the guide as a psychedelic cover I have no idea. Sure miscut, but it's Charlton....some spine stresses (minor) but flat, bright and clean. Certainly VF, probably someone's NM. $10.

  2. :news: Freebie added! (Don, you're grandfathered in (thumbsu)

All purchasers will receive a copy of Crisis on Infinite Earths #3, the first appearance of....well, no....the time when...that's not it....heck, I don't know why there were 20 copies of this book in a small collection I bought, and the guy would not tell me why he loaded up on it when I texted him after I got home and discovered them in a long box. But all 20 are about like the one pictured. Yours free with any purchase, while supplies last (which could be through a few sales threads....did I mention there's 20?) (shrug)

As an aside, the very nice Machine Man #1 above also came from this collection. Of course, no 20 copies of that...or the various bronze Bats...or the DD#9...doh!

  3. One last one for tonight...poor because it's incomplete, missing eight pages...the first four, and the centerfold. Cover somehow still attached at both staples....still, it's a scarce as all get-out Sugar and Spike #6. Placeholder for a very tough run, or parts if you're the marrying type. $10.

Seriously? You want the truth?  Ok, here goes: in early 00s sold off my entire comic collection including the Dazzelers. Probably sold em for less then pennies. Here's the kicker, about four month ago (after rediscovering the hobby again in July 2016) bought a dazzeler 1 (again) for , I dunno, 8 or 10 bucks or 20 bucks. (It's high grade) You know just to have it cause those 50 copies were a big deal in my comic collecting youth. I worked in a comic shop getting paid in credit and that was the first direct only book, I think. I do remember putting stickers on the bags each book was in and writing down something about the color difference on each book, like there was a variation on the intesitites of color on front cover as if a printing mistake.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about or was I just a crazy comic collecting kid?

Great story! I remember nothing about color variations in the cover being touted by my LCS, but I do remember him hand-selling and pre-selling the bejeebus out of it because it was the first direct-only comic. I remember wondering why the heck Marvel was hyping the heck out of a disco chick nearly 5 years after Saturday Night Fever...we were probably both crazy comic-collecting kids!

  5. Coverless Silver Age Marvel Key

Here's an otherwise complete but sadly coverless Fantastic Four #48, which some clever fellow deigned to note in the upper margin to compensate for the absence of the cover...doh!....well, it's still the first appearances of the Silver Surfer and Galactus....Note minor tear at top of first page near spine, seen best in third pic....$50

I bought a couple packs of the Walmart comics people were talking about in the modern forum on a whim.  Man, comics suck these days.  And I collected in the 90s, I shouldn't have a leg to stand on.

It did not have that in the listing. Pretty disappointed when I opened the package. Seller said it was not like that when he shipped it. All in all, seller has been pretty understanding. I have decided to return it.

I just clicked through to learn about the seller. That is definitely someone I would buy from. I respect how he is handling this with you. Good for you both! (thumbsu
