  1. I haven't got them anymore, alas. Sure they're online somewhere though Rich. Report back when you've found them
  2. Oh, leave off Panto, I've just had Robot having a moan about finding an up to date issue list and now you're at it. I've done more than anyone alive to establish what UK Price Variants are and how to differentiate them from US copies. This is a discussion thread and we sometimes veer off into other directions. I can't be expected to restate what a UKPV is every couple of posts here just incase someone new arrives who can't be bothered to read a bit. If people are genuinely interested, they'll pick it up soon enough - especially if they visit my journal pages which were purposely created to act as one stop, stand alone summaries of UKPV salient points.
  3. I don't mind surprises Wolvie. They can delight. I'd draw the distinction between clever surprises that delight and add something new to the mix, and just taking a dump on 60 years of precedent.
  4. Shirley you're not suggesting that has any bearing on it? A great film is a great film, isn't it?
  5. Hey, I set that precedent long ago, Rich. Blather away mate What do you think of these two - my old copies: Do we see the reverse there do you think?
  6. Yes. A bit like Elvis Costello covering a Squeeze song. Forgivable.
  7. I posted this nice copy in my Marvel thread the other day (I've got eight of them now) - I love that TARDIS shack there that Wyatt is emerging from, and it's impossible interior... That bloke in the background is an appalling shot, isn't he.
  8. Bit toasty around the edges but a lot harder to find that the famous #60....
  9. If there's a duck in front of a duck, a duck behind a duck, and a duck in the middle, why have I got turkey for dinner again?
  10. Definitely. Out of interest, did the books lead you to the date, or did the date lead you to the books?
  11. I love that - the comics themselves dutifully back up the site date move. If you didn't know the exact date, they'd tell you
  12. Cool. You know I want to be supportive Dena. You're a decent person. But members have been locked out for coming up to 2 days now, and it's entirely reasonable for us to get the hump when so many of us called the issue out within hours of the update. We just wanted a single line response to say "on it". Not necessarily from you personally, but from "CGC". You've been battling away on your own for a long time now - a bolstered team will be good for everyone. Thanks for everything you've done, and are still doing, behind the scenes
  13. Only the second stamped copy I've seen of this personally: The other copy is a '6':
  14. You can clearly see the 25c on the spine there - a great UKPV related catch by @themagicrobot that had escaped me all these years until he pointed it out. "Yes, Hulk could. Using lighter fuel. Puny sticker glue."
  15. Which ones specifically Buzz? I'll see if it happens to me too if I quote them.
  16. Yep. Just been talking to my sister about that very thing - managing the people that seem to exist purely to suck the life out of everything. I didn't mean you, by the way, when I said the bit about being self-employed. It was an attempt at self-deprecation.
  17. There have been a few quirks that I've seen personally and also seen reported by others. I feel like there's a lot of redirecting going on in the background - screens appear and then sort of reappear differently a second later. Hopefully it will all settle down. I haven't seen any 500 errors yet though, which is encouraging.
  18. That's really cool. Love Spidey's face there.
  19. Yes. It's hard to find a job where that isn't the case isn't it, although I think I'd feel that way if I was self employed too. 3177? Is that how many days to retirement?
