  1. That's where you usually see it. I've got one with and one without. Nice lot Mike
  2. Nice. Unusual to see the USA stamp on the inside cover.
  3. Jeepers, where from Mikey - the pence western factory?
  4. Me too, but until proven, have you got anything later than June 1978 with a tee and pee that we can see Mr Tee?
  5. Yep. Incidentally, the 'on sale' data from Mike's is for Direct Editions. Not sure if that changes anything. Wonder what 'Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Double' means.
  6. Hulk no like! Rubbish isn't it. I must admit, I hadn't considered the 'display date' before - using it we should be able to determine the very last ever Marvel newsstand book(s). It may be this book - terrible shame if so
  7. OK, using Mike's Comic Newsstand, I've checked every non-variant title for December 2013 and only one has an 'on sale date' later than the SSM#20's October 30th - that book is I can't find a newsstand copy online so far, but if there is one, in theory, its 'DISPLAY UNTIL' date should be later.
  8. Mike's Comic Newsstand has Superior Spider-Man #20 as an October 30th on sale book: It has FF #13 also as an October 23rd, one week earlier: So if the NE of SSM#20 has a 12/10/2013 'DISPLAY UNTIL' date, the FF #13 should have a 'DISPLAY UNTIL' as 12/03/2013, one week earlier - and it does: So we need to find a December 2013 indicia book, with an on sale date later than SSM#20 to find a later one. I'll get checking....
  9. My understanding, working from memory, is no, as Superior #20 was the last cover / indicia month for Marvel newsstands. I'd need to investigate to see if any other titles had a later date as the 'Display Until' may not necessarily correspond with the month. I'll have a poke around and see.
  10. Now, just to test the water, and encourage participation, can anyone post a comic that is cover dated later than this June 1978 25p T&P stamped copy from DC? It has to have a 'T&P' on it to qualify - not like these later books with single unbranded prices:
  11. Posting in one of my threads is the very definition of barrel scraping TMR (thanks for the kind post on your own blog by the way) And what's up with Spider-Man? The later ones are the same colour as the ink pads we used to use in the Bank years ago to stamp cheques and stuff. Sort of purpley. But having already burrowed through the bottom of the barrel with the numbering, even I wouldn't dare research stamp colour variations. Or would I! I posed this question earlier in the thread - what happened to the unsold UK newsagents copies? No evidence I'm aware of and there aren't enough remaindered compendiums out there to cover all titles in my opinion (Double Doubles only had DC and the odd Marvel - what about the Charltons, Archies etc?). I bet they just sat there until sold or were dumped.
  12. Agreed. The recompense no doubt will take account of the double mistake.
