  1. I'm not interested in pricing myself Kustomizer, just what exists and the related production nuances. It doesn't surprise me though, your story there. I wish people would allow these and other such comics to find their natural price levels based on supply and demand rather than try to artificially create value via obscene BIN pricing. But that's not the way of the world, alas.
  2. Sorry for the late reply Dickie - I didn't get a notification that you'd posted this in my journal. What you say makes sense to me and helps to explain why some titles rarely surface. That said, I've found quite a few more since I last posted, including some quite scarce ones, and will be updating the thread soon. Cool board name by the way, if I haven't already said that
  3. If you go to any board members profile page, you'll see a little circular clock / arrow symbol to the immediate right of their board name - see @Callaway29's below: Click on that and it brings up the history of the users name changes like so: There was a period of about a year where name changes didn't register but that was fixed in an update last year if I recall correctly. So no need to wonder any longer who everyone is. If you want to change your board name by the way, here is an old post of mine showing how it's done. You retain the same history - it's no different to changing your avatar:
  4. On that theme, I wonder what operational process failure lead to the stamping of pence printed copies like this recent addition to the Archie UKPV box? Archie's a funny one. A handful of UKPVs and a distribution battle between T&P who started off, then a year of Miller, then back to T&P. I'll leave you to ponder.
  5. You're welcome. I'm not 100% sure which one is which myself, but CGC clearly aren't either, as they have graded the unnumbered copy as both US and Canadian. Good luck
  6. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/science-fiction/attack-on-planet-mars-1-canadian-edition-avon-1952-cgc-fn-65-off-white-to-white-pages/a/121927-11386.s https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/science-fiction/attack-on-planet-mars-nn-avon-1951-cgc-vg-40-off-white-pages/a/121927-11385.s?ic16=ViewItem-BrowseTabs-Inventory-BuyNowFromOwner-ThisAuction-120115 These two above look the same, the only distinction seeming to be the years - 1951 US and 1952 CAN.
  7. If you can find a cover for Plaistow Patricia you'll get a no-prize Bob Remember when they played that on the Young Ones?
  8. I added The Punisher #82 to the list last week to bring us up to 1,292 confirmed copies. Even though you can't see the AUS price in the image (taken from eBay AUS) you can see the 'annual issue' barcode which is right for the AUS copy, the US newsstand being '09' for September: You can just about see the absence of the 'CC 02860' at the foot of the issue number box too. So it's an 'AUS $TBC' entry on the spreadsheet until a better image turns up
  9. Don't worry, I've seen loads of cents stamped copies which exist as pence printed copies during this review. Maybe we got our own printed copies and the US unsold cast offs. Who knows.
  10. (here be dragons) Hail majestic corporate light Heaven born and ever bright How our spirit like the waves As the breath of thine awakes And now the night of weeping shall be The morn of song Ah! We are those whose thunder shakes the skies The thin spun life Home of fadeless splendour Of flowers that bear no thorn Here may the blind and hungry come And light and food receive Here mighty springs of consolation rise To cheer the fainting mind And re-creation find So overcome thy fear And burst into sudden blaze Come blind fury with abhorred shears And slit the thin spun life Ah! Sobbing with their human sort of wail Thy justice fear Walk in shadow, walk in dread Loosefish walk as like one dead One drop in a winter sea No more to rise forever Anything down there about your souls Will smash the sun alight Ah! Yield week in, weak out from morn to night Feelers from across the sea Come crawling over thee One drop in a winter sea No more to rise forever One drop in a winter sea No more to rise forever Come blind fury with abhorred shears And slit the thin spun life Ah! Sobbing with their human sort of wail The thin spun life We are those whose thunder shakes the skies Whose eyes this atom globe surveys Thy justice fear Hooray!
  11. @Gnasher Your April 1979 DC book seems to be winning Bob - I haven't found a later one yet. My understanding from various online sources was that T&P wound up around the middle of 1979 so this is in the right ballpark. You could understand why a T&P stamp would exist on a book issued prior to when they started distributing for, as we have shown in this thread, the books in question likely came over to the UK in bulk long after they were returned unsold in the US. But we should be able to spot the final T&P stamped books as they couldn't time travel into the future and once they stopped, their stamps should have stopped. I'll keep looking though...
  12. I think there was a warehouse find of this issue in the US - I've seen so many high grade copies on eBay.com over the years - far more than I have in the UK
