  1. Is it on route? Batman went to England, Mexico and Egypt. Gets about doesn't he. No Belgium covers though. So far.
  2. Is that the one from the flash comic where he accidentally killed someone? No, it's the one where he just missed the 50% off arrows sale at JC Penneys.
  3. I like the fact that not only is he crying, but that he has 'blubby bottom lip' too
  4. They speak it in Canada too Chris, but that's not Belgium either. Someone must have been to Belgium! Has Thanos been to Belgium do you think?
  5. Another table! Two tables so far. But only one chair. Sorry, you're on the floor kav.
  6. You can boil an egg in the time it takes that avatar to change Ditch
  7. Cor, they're nice. Any chance of a shot with the camera taken out of its packaging ThothAmon?
  8. Be honest, you didn't know what it meant either did you. Did you! Liar. Anyway, has this already been done? Who cares Here's a table, literally made out of comics: Yes, that's right. A table. Well, a chest. Something like that. And here's a chair: Part of it has been made out of comics! Yes, you too can sit on your favourite character. Maybe a little flatulence on a Liefeld? Your turn - go find me other things made with comics
  9. Has this been done before? Who cares Here's Batman and Robin, and then Spidey savouring the delights of good ole Blighty while they still can (note how the 'City without Guns' has clearly deteriorated between visits): And hey! Who moved that bridge!? Anyway, what's the most obscure country - other than England of course - that a superhero has visited on a comic cover? Has Aquaman been to Denmark? Has The Joker ever been seen in Belgium? Come to think of it, apart from Poirot, has anyone ever been seen in Belgium? Actually, Poirot was always in England wasn't he Somebody must have been to Belgium! Go find me some more
  10. Evening all I may have mentioned already that the only physical differences between an Archie pence copy and an Archie cents copy is the price. But it doesn't hurt to double check every now and again does it. Mistakes can happen. Anomalies can surface. Trends can be bucked. Perceived wisdom can be turned on its head. Appropriately enough, here's a pair of Mad Houses, ripe and ready for inspection: Let's have a closer look shall we Inside covers? The same. Indicias? The same. Centrefold? The same. Inside back covers? The same. Back covers? The same. Date? Masthead? The same. Cover price? Ah-ha! So, two things you have learned in this post: The only difference between a pence and cents Archie is the price I can't take a decent photo for love nor money Nothing more will I teach you today.
  11. Meanwhile, and this is nothing new, just worth repeating, Amazing Fantasy 15 has a potentially unique indicia scenario. There are two first printing copies - the pence and cents copies like so: The pence copy has an additional line of indicia data - 'SOLE DISTRIBUTORS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM - THORPE & PORTER LTD' - just below the usual cents details. In keeping with the practice at the time (to eliminate the confusion caused by long shipping times), the pence copy has the cover month removed like so: And the US copy has the month of August: But in what may be the only example of it's kind, both pence and cents indicias list the month as September 1962, not August: Hope you can make them out. The GCD has this to say on the matter: They say September is the correct date. So that's what I put in my spreadsheet. Thing is, when you look at the title - which was formerly Amazing Adult Fantasy (which itself was formerly Amazing Adventures) you can see August is missed as a sequential month: Issues 3 to 14 are all sequential. It would make so much more sense for AF15 to be August wouldn't it....
  12. Indeed. I'm formulating my own episode now Ken, which I plan to submit to Chris Chibnall for season 12 consideration. It's called "A Toilet in The Tardis". Here's the synopsis Ken: It was a lovely sunny day, but Bungle the bear was desperate for a slash. There were no urinals to be found anywhere, as you would expect in a civilised country. Suddenly, Bungle heard a wheezing, groaning sound (thank you Terrance ) and out of the blue.....
  13. I sent a copy of this to Brittany and MCS by PM and Brittany has replied, saying that she'll forward the example to the grading team. Hopefully they'll use the info to spot any future attempts to pass off pence as cents, if indeed this is what has been attempted here Been doing some indicia research today. Just waiting on one book in the post and then I'll post it all here; details of the different pence variant indicia types with examples and dates. As ever, it threw up some unexpected quirks. Watch this space pence people...
  14. This is nice isn't it. Deceptively simple cover. Nice colouring. Looks just great. It arrived this morning and takes my personal tally up to 333 pence copies now. And 4 US price variants. Only 500 or so to go. What else can we do on a Monday
