  1. Cheers guys. Sticky labels are cool.... Don't let anyone tell you otherwise
  2. I like the title logo there Sqeggs. The 'comics' word looks almost unfinished, like they forgot to colour it in.
  3. It does! I always found 165 the hardest to get in high grade. I managed most, some in multiples but that 165 I posted has a massive back cover crease. I never found an upgrade prior to the sell off. Funny what you remember.
  4. Hulk like lizard brain ramblings. Oh, hang on. Wrong thread. Sorry liz. Yes, the minutiae as you call it can be as fun as the books themselves and I do miss it. All I have now are L Miller labels. Still, that'll do for now until I win the lottery and start all over again. Hang on, the wife just heard that, gotta go!
  5. Hulk does miss puny books, yes. Hulk nostalgic berk. Hulk like post by @Mr. Big and Green. Mr B&G kind to Hulk. Hulk welcomes Mr. B&G to boards. No smash this time round.
  6. Hulk no like that 85 out of sequence. Hulk blame poxy boards. May smash again.
  7. Hulk like old comics he bought for brother in past. Hulk sold books later on eBay and made small profit. Hulk like. Brother like. Hulk like that brother like. Hulk kept scans and show books off now. Hulk no like that two are missing from old file Hulk find. May smash.
  8. One of the other things I used to do was make sticky labels for my comics. Any excuse really. The label wasn't on the comic of course, but on the inner mylar (I used to use two). I had stickers for printing errors.... ....stickers for National Diamond Sales Inserts.... ....stickers for Mark Jewelers Inserts.... ....stickers for miscuts.... ....stickers for Pizzazz Inserts.... ....stickers for Canadians.... ....stickers for 'Slick' MJ Inserts.... ....stickers for Bubblicious Inserts.... ....stickers for Other Errors.... ....stickers for Bose Inserts.... ....stickers for Miscellaneous Inserts.... ....stickers for Triple Covers.... ....stickers for Double Covers.... ....stickers for Alternate Back Covers.... ...and a few more besides. Did any of you ever use stickers?
  9. Cheers @wormboy. Here are all the 'Whitman' ASM's that I used to have. I know they're not in three-packs, but they're nice to look at aren't they
  10. Mikey came through with the indicia scans (top man!) so I can now confirm that RHK #20 and 23 are indeed L Miller distributed copies Here's the updated chart: Only ten more books to track down to complete the picture: Gunsmoke Western 61, 62 & 64 Rawhide Kid 18 & 21 Two-Gun Kid 56, 57, 58 & 59 Wyatt Earp 29 Yeehaarr!
  11. Morning All Here's the summary of where we are following the great input from @mikeyc67 Mikey provided these three pence printed price scans from the 'Missing List': That means we now have 3,007 Confirmed Pence Printed Price Variants Here's the new 'Missing List': I found an old stock list from 30th Century Comics which had Gunsmoke Western #69 and 71 listed as 'pence' issues. They're long since out of stock, so I don't know whether they were pence printed or cents copies with pence stamps. Hopefully the former, so I'll keep hunting. Mikey also provided confirmation that Rawhide Kid #20 and 23 are cents L Miller copies, so they cannot in theory exist as pence printed copies, in line with my assumptions earlier in this thread. So there aren't many books left to chase, if you look at what's left after we discount the potential remaining L Miller cents copies. Here is the updated master list (hope you can read it OK - it doesn't fit the page when viewed on a phone): Title Confirmed Pence Number Range Total 2001: A Space Odyssey 1-10 10 Amazing Adult Fantasy 7-14 8 Amazing Adventures 5-6 2 Amazing Adventures 2nd Series 3-22, 26-39 34 Amazing Fantasy 15 1 Amazing Spider-Man 1-17, 28-41, 44-54, 71-120, 215-223 101 Amazing Spider-Man Annual 2 1 Astonishing Tales 2-7, 9-22, 25-36 32 The Avengers 1-8, 19-32, 35-45, 63-120, 153-182, 184-199, 201-203, 206-214 149 Battlestar Galactica 2, 9, 19 3 Black Goliath 1-5 5 Black Panther 1, 7-15 10 Captain America 159-171, 176-253, 256-264 100 Captain Marvel 12-21, 25-30, 34-48, 53-62 41 Chamber of Chills 19, 20, 22, 25 4 Chamber of Darkness 6-8 3 The Champions 1-12 12 Conan The Barbarian 12-35, 41-53, 57-81, 121-129 72 Creatures On The Loose 31-37 7 Crypt of Shadows 21 1 Daredevil 1-3, 9-20, 23-33, 51-108, 112-149, 151-160, 163-168, 170-177 146 Dazzler 2-10 9 Dead Of Night 10 1 Defenders 4-7, 9, 11-12, 15-54, 71-91, 94-102 77 Doctor Strange 4-21, 25-34, 46-50 33 The Eternals 1-18 18 Fantastic Four 1-31, 42-55, 58-68, 85-143, 149-175, 177-189, 212, 229-237 165 Fantastic Four Annual 3 1 Fantasy Masterpieces 1-2 2 Fear (Adventure Into) 23-31 9 Frankenstein 12-18 7 The Ghost Rider 1-6 6 Ghost Rider 1-4, 7, 9-19, 22, 36, 39-49, 51-52, 55-63 40 Gunsmoke Western 58, 59, 66-68, 72, 74-77 10 Howard The Duck 1-26 26 The Human Fly 1-19 19 The Human Torch 8 1 Incredible Hulk 1-6, 114-152, 161-166, 258-266 60 The Inhumans 1-9 9 The Invaders 3-40 38 Iron Fist 3-7 5 Iron Man 12-42, 47-66, 69, 71-111, 122-142, 145, 147-153 122 John Carter Warlord Of Mars 24-28 5 Journey Into Mystery 58-60, 62-63, 66-69, 72-109, 119-125 54 Journey Into Mystery Annual 1 1 Journey Into Mystery 2nd Series 8, 9, 12-18 9 Jungle Action 11-23 13 Ka-Zar, Lord Of The Hidden Jungle 5-18 14 Ka-Zar The Savage 1-9 9 Kid Colt Outlaw 91, 95-101, 103-104, 106-119, 124-129, 133-137 35 Kull The Conqueror / Destroyer 7-11, 18 6 Logans Run 1-7 7 Luke Cage / Power Man & Iron Fist 20-57, 65-66, 68-76 49 Machine Man 10-18 9 Man-Thing 8-22 15 Man-Thing 2nd Series 1, 6 2 Marvel Chillers 1-5 5 Marvel Classics Comics 5, 7, 9-36 30 Marvel Double Feature 10 1 Marvel Feature (2nd Series) Feat. 12. Cheers! I haven't got my glasses on so didn't spot it yet. Good job you did. I need a magnifying glass.....
  13. You're my new best friend Mikey, thanks and thrice thanks! I'll pop these into the Miller thread tomorrow. Might even do a chart. Brilliant!
  14. Terrific! He looks like he's had a glass of milk doesn't he. Thanks again for sharing these Mikey. I'll update the missing list tomorrow (and don't forget, if you can send me pics of the RHK L Miller 20 and 23 indicia pages I'll be your friend for life )
  15. Brilliant, thank you @mikeyc67 ! Don't stop - KCO 95 and 108 when you're ready please
  16. No worries @Bosco685. I think it may well be the same thing. If I search for "X-Files" I get zero results. If I type just "Files" your thread appears. Scott / Arch advised that words with 3 letters or less don't show in search results, and adding them cancels out the other words. Hence my Dr Who Thread wouldn't come up etc You have to be creative to find things sometimes!
  17. I think I know why - possibly the same issue as I flagged here:
  18. Ah, I see. I just tried again and this time clicked Comics General and I get it too now: But, if I ignore it and click on search I get the results after only a few seconds of the 'fetching results' indicator commencing. So it may be that the buffer symbol is irrelevant - just click on search anyway? The only way to know I guess is if the topic you're searching for comes up or not. Let us know...
  19. While you're there, get him to have a quick look at your face Buzz - I think there's something wrong with it....
  20. Hello @Bosco685 That doesn't happen when I search for a topic - my screen dump shows that my search doesn't even bring up the Movie sub-forum - I don't get the swirly circular progress buffer you're getting: Out of interest, you could just do a search on 'All Content' and, when the results appear (and mine appear quickly) select "....in content titles only" like so (fourth option along from the left): If there is an issue, @Scott =) is always good at diving in and investigating
