  3. Agreed. I sell those type of comics with them. I’m disappointed with past performance and handling of OA they auctioned for me.
  4. There’s a lot to unpack here Terry. If you impulse buy affordable art by the dump truck load to fill an emptiness inside.,,.,then....scream when a grail comes by....its time to change tactics. There are many things “out of reach” either because of price or availability. However “focus” as a strategy can pay off. That means let the chafe sail by, keep your finger off the bid or buy now button. Save your cash. Then go hard for that one piece you’ve wanted all your collecting life. Don’t worry about what might never appear for sale. Most things you’re looking for reveal themselves. They might not be for sale but it puts your mind at ease.
  5. Comic-Link puts virtually no effort into their write ups (descriptions). Lazy Bones. You are not the only one to feel the need to insist on providing them pertinent information to enhance the attractiveness of the art for auction. The first board member to tell me “the art should sell itself” is missing the point. Good descriptions with the art help create additional enthusiasm. Auctions should end when the optimum number of interested parties can be available.
  6. I think Stan Lee imagined the high demand for some of these pairings.
  7. Absolutely As a seller I don’t like that C-Link fails to generate that extra push to draw extra bids:
  8. I think C-Link is in need of a serious pep talk. After posting this thread “starts with a bang” I took a deeper look into the auction offerings and they seemed lacking in pizazz. I would like to see C-Link stay quasi relevant presenting OA. Some competition with HA I think is good for buyers and sellers. So yes C-Link this thing kicks off in ten short days. It’s time to get angry. If you’ve got more let’s see it.
  9. I could find a spot for it in the Galleria le Greyp
  10. Oh no, thank you. I’m just egging on anyone wanting to share or who knows someone who grabbed a page. I’m just happy Tradd and this art in particular getting recognized so admiringly. Well deserved. Honestly to the winners it might serve them well to lay low for awhile. Just enjoy the art without (184-who knows how many) collectors bugging them to sell.
  11. I remember securing art from a collector/seller many moons back. “When you get tired of it bring it back. I’ll get you in to something else.” I’ll never forget those words. Get tired of it? I don’t get bored of art. I tend to hold on to it for a long time. I recognize there is a segment of collectors who have a persistent fever of the “i’ve gotta have it” variety. Before they’ve had a chance to frame their July auction buy they’re looking to move it for something in the September auction. As a family man there were times I sold art to meet a need. Overall I’ve kept my collection in tact and the appreciation value is tremendous. Patience pays off.
  12. A Kamandi splash Was probably $2-3K tops for this quality when I started looking for Kirby art. Hell I have a catalog somewhere with a Ditko Spidey At 3 K and a Romita four PANEL page for $900......Talk about 🥜 🥜
  13. That’s not fair!!!! That’s just life !! Well done winners
