  1. That’s saying something. I’m a 60’s 70’s 80’s collector. Tradd Moore and Frank Quitely and a few others have drawn some of my attention away from my once 💯 % focus in that area. There was a time when I would’ve said you’re crazy. But I’ve learned my lesson. I once believed the 80’s Moebius take on superhero’s like Surfer and Ironman were dreadful. Now I regret that my untrained eye, my biased palette prevented me from getting an example back then. I like to find greatness before I’m told “it’s great.” That’s part of the rush. I think SSB is ahead of its future, high above on a widely held appreciation peak.
  2. Bump I know you’re out there. I know at least 2. Come on share with the class! p l e a s e
  3. Fantastic Four 256 page 4 John Byrne C-Link Auction
  4. It sure was. That’s what I tell myself. Otherwise you go crazy. Today it looks like peanuts but many of us we were still on a learning curve.
  5. The P-Nutz bunch are coming for your comment as soon as they stop feeding on other victims bones. Activate protective shield a s a p. ”He lost his P-nuts.” ”Peppermint Patty _____________ Charlie Browns baseballs and gave them to Lucy...” Sigh....
  6. That you managed a cover is Amazing. Check this out Matches 1998 eBay sold for $2,000. What was I doing that day? 😭
  7. There’s a hunger for these pages with Venom. I would be a player but I had my chance twenty years ago. I let so many go bye $2k-4K then 4K-6k and so on. I also missed Peanuts Sundays 😢 So many shiny beautiful treasures to look at I always regret the misses.

  9. I know collectors don’t like when you point things like this out but it’s appreciated. This stuff the roughs but “finished art” doesn’t go for $20 a page anymore. We should know what we’re actually getting before we hand over fistfuls of cash. There are artists from the eighties forward who defined those eras....and then there are those whose careers and best efforts were winding down.... I absolutely cringe for the newbies getting in the deep end without proper guidance. If you’re buying a JB that’s 90% someone else but paying JB money as if it was his prime period of effort are you ok fooling yourself. But it’s not just newbies. Newbies can be reckless but mostly they are good folks trying to figure this thing out: it’s the long time collectors from the “head in the sand” ostrich club that worry me. This thing of ours attracts top dollar money. I see that guy show up all the time with a brand new Lamborghini built with Pinto parts. Knowledge isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.. 🍇 + 🦍 appreciates Sensei Vodou
  10. Used to have a bunch of these. I was going to take them to Los Bros to spruce them up but decided to give them away with every ten dollar purchase at the wife’s garage sale.
  11. Haha.... I agree Alcala more then John on the “Collaborative” art. Are we the only two that know that? Ugh? Nah haha 😆
  12. You are conservative like me..except this time I think it’s going higher $47k
  13. I’m not sure honestly I don’t have a good way to track C-Link. HA 100x better archival.
  14. Check out this McFarlane ASM 317 Page 23 with Spider-Man and Venom. 1989 art 10 x 15 with a killer 1/3 splash and Venom creeping us out on that bottom panel. What’s this one going to hammer for? https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/preview.asp?code=2020aug&itemtype=1&Artist=TODD MCFARLANE&searchdbf=0
  15. Entertaining and informative podcast Felix. Got some cool insight on Tradd Moore and other neat info.
  16. Alcala my favorite on Savage Sword although DeZuniga inked my favorite story Savage Sword 26-27. Joe Sinnott on JB Thor, Dan Adkins on JB Silver Surfer and Palmer on JB Avengers.
  17. A tinge off topic but Matches owns a great Lobo/Authority page on his CAF.
  18. 🍊 —— 😱 ——👀 —-🔥 ———-😎 my eyes,,,,,,my eyes........
