  1. I thought I had a shot. two great Colan DD 27 pages featuring Spider-Man. I focused on the page 12....hammered $19,800. I didn’t have enough bid bullets. I was hoping half that.... page 11 (no slouch) went for $12,000 Encouraging sales for consignors and as mentioned a few higher priced items selling for less the second time around. 🍇 + 🦍
  2. I’m not gonna post the pic but Dave Mandel Iron Man 1 Cover by Gene Colan Dave has tons of untouchable grail pieces.
  3. That’s the rub. Offered as • Sketches • unpublished drawings The scammers have more room to do the devils work. We know they are fake from collecting, studying, knowing history of Kirby. The auctioneers want us to send them something that says, for example • can’t be real because I own the real one • I know it’s fake because I saw Joe from Chicago trace that THOR drawing from a comic Kirby Museum, Evanier or Kirby Family would have expertise as would some of us board members but not sure what it would take to stop the auctions.
  4. Haha....eBay thought occurred to me. Not going to happen. We’re on our own.
  5. It’s a nice way of saying unless we can send them proof of fake-forgery they are helpless to take the auction down. Buyer Beware. We sell lots of things and we couldn’t possibly verify them all. Maybe that’s true. I have to ask though. Haven’t any of the “lucky” bid winners of these “Kirby” originals over the years figured out they got burned? I think it’s great Alex G demanded they take the fakes down. The tech savvy folks eventually will have to hire experts to at least audit the mass of fakes that come up for auction. We just need to keep an eye open and the heat on.
  6. You don’t hear Swiping and Bob Kane in the same sentence often enough, sincerely, Bill Finger
  7. JAKE KILLBY Charcoals are some of the scarcest and most desired prizes in all of comic art. And to think the only ones I’ve ever laid eyes on are ALL in this auction.
  8. Heritage rep. “Was shaking.” I’d love to see the rest of the portfolio. The Herriman was a stunning example. I love to see stuff like this.
  9. Dan was selling his own artwork on eBay. One thing I noticed is Dan was always up front about Commissioned pieces he did that were light boxed over John Buscema. Since he has passed on shamefully I’ve seen (Dan only) work passed off as Buscema and Adkins. Specifically Silver Surfer. If you PM me and I look at the piece I might be able to help you. 🍇 + 🦍
  10. You could buy them both if there’s a bit of completist in your collecting nature. Welcome to original comic art collecting. 🍇 * 🦍
  11. I think most kind souls here will understand it’s for a worthy cause.
  12. Keep bumping this page. There’s another guy always looking for Peter Parker SM 21 pages. Been looking for years. Found a few because people kept seeing the OP over time.
  13. You totally got over on him!!!
  14. Sale? You mean like, a reduction of prices?? Albert???
  15. I shouldn’t encourage you but haha you deserve a laugh face 😆
  16. Classic. Somethings are so timely when you come across them. I had a very similar conversation with my cousin about soy burgers, impossible burgers etc. why?????😂
