Hey Matt! Can we get the following issues added to: The Walking Dead (2003 Complete with Variants) registry set?Negan Lives! #1 2nd PrintNegan Lives! #1 2nd Print Bronze Edition (could we possibly get this added with a slight increase in points over the regular 2nd print edition as it sells for 2 to 3 times as much?)Negan Lives! #1 Red Foil Edition (could we possibly get this added with a slight increase in points over all of the other editions as it is the most limited and by far most valuable of the Negan Lives issues, with recent sales of it varying between $800 to $1,500?)I had requested the Red Foil variant unofficially in early July but it had yet to be graded but now that it's on the census (along with the others above) please consider this the official request to add it unless it already happens to be in the set by the time you end up getting to these.Thank you for the consideration - please let me know if you need me to provide any further info of the above addition requests and please know that we appreciate all that you do for us!RyanSlots added per a previous request. Scores are at the default level as this book was recently released. Thank you
Dear @Matt GSince your note to @Sensei Ryan 17 August 2020 (above) on setting the scores for these six comics at the default level, I have been tracking sales. I suggest that the scores can now be revised as follows:Negan Lives! 1 = already correct at 40 points for 9.8UNegan Lives! 1 Second Printing = already correct at 40 points for 9.8UNegan Lives! 1 Silver Foil Edition = suggest slight uplift to 48 points for 9.8U (aligns with the sales price, interest, rarity of Special Edition 1 and/or the 132 Loot Crate Edition)Negan Lives! 1 Gold Foil Edition = suggest uplift into the region of 64-104 points for 9.8U (price, interest, rarity between 150 Retailer Appreciation Edition and 171 Pink Lorenzo Signature Variant)Negan Lives! 1 Second Printing/Bronze Foil Edition = suggest uplift into the region of 64-104 points for 9.8U (rational as Gold Foli above)Negan Lives! 1 Red Foil Edition = suggest uplift into the region of 250-400 points for 9.8U (price, interest and rarity between Here's Negan Preview nn and 100 Ottley Sketch Cover)Thank you for your consideration. I realise that this post could/should be in the "bump" thread, but felt for continuity, this was the better place to raise it.Kind regardsStephenScores updated per request in "score" request thread

So glad we can finally announce this. This is very limited and we're only going to be selling it as a CGC 9.8.
-Shawn
Hey @bigclutch, Since you're amongst (probably) the most-committed collectors of TWD here, is it possible Skybound might consider offering a pre-sale to us of this rare lovely (as well as future TWD special releases)? Though I love the live "Vault" events, their timings for me in the UK can make it a very late night!
Thank you for your consideration,
Kind regards, sir

Hi Matt,Not an "add to set", but (please) a SUBTRACT from a set:The Walking Dead SERBIAN set (Okruzen Mrtvima) https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/Comics/PeopleSetDetail.aspx?PeopleSetID=117844 SHOULD have 15 comics in it. The CGC Registry set has 16, and this is incorrect. The erroneous issue is in comic #10 in the set.-
There should be a "regular" comic as https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/Comics/SlotScoreDetail.aspx?SlotID=118536, and -
Serbian Sketch Edition as https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/Comics/SlotScoreDetail.aspx?SlotID=118538
THEREFORE: Please remove the other one: https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/Comics/SlotScoreDetail.aspx?SlotID=265783 (If there are any comics presently allocated to this slot, they should be moved to their correct slot: to 118536 if they have a color cover, and to 118536 if they have a B&W cover).Thank you for your assistance in correcting this error.RegardsStephenPS - The owner of the #1 set @MrWalkingDead also comments on this error (see the comment in the bottom two lines of the set description at https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/Comics/PeopleSetDetail.aspx?PeopleSetID=133848). I believe his #10 comic in this set is in the wrong slot - it should be in 118536.Hello @StephenWA,
I have removed #10 Serbian Edition from the set on 11/9/20. Thank you

..is hopefully the end.
Of every single person that has driven this franchise to the bottom of the barrel and now through it.
The comic rocked up to #48 and slowly declined until it was basically unreadable. And yet the reprints continue..... $$$$$$
Walking Dead - TOS was a brilliant show, until they forgot about the Zombies and became a soap opera with worse and worse stories, acting and continuity. It's now thankfully been pulled off life-support and officially declared dead.
Which sadly was 3 years too late. At least.
Fear TWD - that started abysmally , then rose off a very, very low bar, mainly thanks to John Dory, but thankfully Hurd, Kirkman, Gimple et al were able to reduce it back to a complete turdburger in record time. What has to be the last season is opening next week to absolutely no interest from anyone.
But wait!
Kirkman, Hurd and co have now managed to scrape their way through the barrel and come up with the Woken Dead!
Yes folks TWD - The World Beyond is without doubt the worst show I have ever seen.
I watched both episodes, and doubt there will be more.
If there are - don't show them.
It's one loooong PC snoozefest of tediously predictable McGuffins one after another, seemingly written for people who follow Greta Thunwhatever's bowel movements as earth shattering events that need to be shared with the universe.
Roll up folks - we got them all!
The morbidly obese brown girl, the angst driven anorexic, the misunderstood 'developmentally delayed' person, the geek and the gay.
The mysterious big govt is bad!
Tyres burn for ever!
Won't someone think of the children!
Obese girl can't kill an 'empty' (wtf?) , but manages to vomit chocolate milk over it - who knew Choc Milk lasted 10 years?. She then managed to produce a 1kg tin of peaches from somewhere, ate the lot and got them lost. You go ethnic leader!
Moody anorexic teen also can't kill one after trying to, using:
A) a Huge bowling Ball
B) a burning teddy bear
c) A kick or 7 in the head.
But she's still moody, and has moody looks, is still anorexic , so all's well.
The nerd finds a dinosaur tooth he lost as a kid - in the street - during the fall of man - during a riot - 10 years ago - BUT THERE IT IS! In his original backpack. With photo's. All perfectly clean and dry, 10 yrs later. He also has a digital camera, and has taken 12,759 pics in 2 episodes.
They also have Walkmans.
And Torches.
And backpacks from Hogwarts.
'Delayed Guy' has said about 30 words, but is smiling shyly from under his fringe.
Serial Killer or secret genius.
Who cares.
He couldn't kill an 'empty' either.
The gay guy is stunningly handsome. Because all gay guys on TV are.
So 2 episodes in, and it's dreadful. The Walking Dead meets PC on steroids. The Walking Woke.
It's on Amazon, because it's pants.
If you had the misfortune to see it - you know what I'm talking about.
If you haven't - don't.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10148174/reviews?ref_=tt_urv
Lastly - cos I know Kirkman and Co visit the boards - enough. The franchise is dead. And it's not walking.
Just stop and let it rot whilst some nice memories remain.
If you really, really need the money - get rid of EVERYONE involved in producing the 3 shows and start with fresh people and fresh ideas.
Because this is terrible.
0.5 / 10
I enjoyed the first two episodes of TWDWB, mainly because I like all things TWD. I forgive the bumps mentioned, and choose instead to see through them. Somewhere out there, the return of Rick Grimes is promised. One or more movies are promised too. And I want to know his story since being choppered away by the "helicopter people". FTWD allowed us a glimpse of CRM, and TWDWB has started to tell us more about this organisation.
For people that don't like a TV show, the red button on their remote controller was provided just for them.

I will add this. FTWD absolutely sucked last season. A villian who cannot find oil in Texas (I live here... it’s literally everywhere) and a campy lady on a horse. I was done.
But I was curious enough about Morgan to watch S6 Ep1. Amazing and one of the best single episodes ever on any TWD show. A Lennie James acting master class. Feel free to ditch Fear but this single episode is going to stand up to time.
Ditto Lennie James acting masterclass. I watched FTWD 6/01 last night, and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Dear MattPlease take a look at The Walking Dead #33, Second Printing, slot ID https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/comics/SlotScoreDetail.aspx?SlotID=128973This is the rare edition with the blue cover (the First printing had a red cover), and was a very limited run. In the market, it attracts a premium of about 4-5x the First printing. This is evidenced from sellmycomicbooks.com in the screenshot attached (and see https://www.sellmycomicbooks.com/the-walking-dead-comic.html - look just about half way down the page).I suggest that the current 48 points for 9.8U should be increased to about 150-200.Thank you for your consideration.Thank you for your patience. I have increased the score accordingly.

You may have lumped this one in with the Wizard World editions... there was an Emerald City Comic con edition of #1 in 2014, but that was not a Wizard World show. The print run would have been huge on the regular version (I think I've got 3 or 4 copies still), but there was also a B&W variant that was for purchase, not a giveaway. Not sure what the print run on that was.
Hi @OtherEric
Thank you for your message and your contribution. Yes, the WW Cons were in 2013 and 2015. They produced a total of 60 TWD #1 comics (2013 = 9 colour and 5 sketch; 2015 = 23 colour and 23 sketch).
Between those years, there were 2 other Cons (Amazing Arizona and as you say Emerald City). Each of those produced a colour and a sketch cover of TWD #1.
I have the 2013 and 2015 editions in the list above (though I do not know the numbers issued, except the 2013 Portland Second Printing at 250).
I will add place markers for the 2014 editions. If you every discover the print runs, we'd be pleased to hear from you again.
Kind regards
Stephen

Yep - based on those links the #'s confirm that issue had a 5,000 print run. Not too limited, but moreso than a regular printing.
@ZombieVet let me know if you ever have or make a want list of raw TWD books you need...I have quite a bit of random stuff left over from my years of over-buying and thank you for the kind words!
I looked at the comic, and it actually says "5000" on the cover! I have updated the inventory.

Hey there - you'll have to post a link to which book you're referring to because as far as I know, this is the only book that came with a calendar:
WD #1 Calendar Club Edition (Go Calendar)
Which Diamond Preview edition are you referring to?
Also, WTTB!

I agree the only calendar edition was the one you have identified.
The Diamond Previews is here https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/ComicView.aspx?PeopleSetComicID=964219. Perhaps that is the one referred to?

If anyone here would like to see it/comment on it/correct it before we post it on here for the world to refer to, please ping me a DM with your email address :-)
Further to my post on 23 June 2020, thank you to everyone who requested the rough draft, and to those who commented on it. I posted the article today:

This inventory of rare The Walking Dead (TWD) comics was researched by a group of its collectors including @StephenWA, @Sensei Ryan and @BladeTX. While TWD comic #163 had a print run of over 730,000 comics, there were ten issues produced with fewer than 250 copies. This list identifies those ten comics as well as the other rare issues which include the TWD S cript Book and #2 First Printing which were the lowest-selling of the original issues.
The inventory does NOT include rarities from The Walking Dead Deluxe (TWDD) series, issued from October 2020. That series also includes several "less than 250" editions, including TWDD #1 Second Printing Gold Foil edition (212) and Second Printing Red Foil edition (240) both produced for the Skybound Comic Vault Live events held on Facebook.
The data included in this inventory is from a variety of sources, including Diamond, ComicChron, My Comic Shop, CGC, and members of the Facebook Walking Dead Comic Buy, Sell, Trade group.
Comments and corrections are always welcome.

Hey Matt!
Can we get the following issues added to: The Walking Dead (2003 Complete with Variants) registry set?
Negan Lives! #1 2nd Print
Negan Lives! #1 2nd Print Bronze Edition (could we possibly get this added with a slight increase in points over the regular 2nd print edition as it sells for 2 to 3 times as much?)
Negan Lives! #1 Red Foil Edition (could we possibly get this added with a slight increase in points over all of the other editions as it is the most limited and by far most valuable of the Negan Lives issues, with recent sales of it varying between $800 to $1,500?)
I had requested the Red Foil variant unofficially in early July but it had yet to be graded but now that it's on the census (along with the others above) please consider this the official request to add it unless it already happens to be in the set by the time you end up getting to these.
Thank you for the consideration - please let me know if you need me to provide any further info of the above addition requests and please know that we appreciate all that you do for us!
Ryan
The Red Foil is very rare, just 500 copies were printed. The other "Foils" are also very limited: there were about 2500 Gold Foil, 2500 Bronze Foil/2nd, and 5000 Silver Foil.
Matt, please consider this in your consideration of the point values.

Yeah the Bronze is the foil version of the 2nd print. Already seen a pictured copy on the bays.
(from the bays)
I will say that even though they are foiling the outta this, all the foils are free to the shops (except Ruby) that receive them. And the Ruby being given 1st to Skybound employees, good on them, I never planned to own one as I was certainly not paying $1k for it.
I was confused why they did a 2nd print in the 1st place, but @BladeTX made a good point that it is likely because some shops might not have even received the 1st print since it was after order cutoff.
But yeah, hunt is on for a Bronze that is slab worthy to go with my others.
I thought it was great that Kirkman/Adlard/Skybound should do this to support (I have no doubt) hard-hit local comic stores during the covid-19 lockdowns and other restrictions. And a nice and unexpected surprise for collectors. I have to say that "the foils" present beautifully.

The problem with this is: where do we set the line to what should be included? Should books from different regions, such as Peruvian or Serbian, be included? Should we include the hardcovers as well? What about compendiums and its variant covers?
If the answer is no, it wouldn't be complete and it wouldn't make sense to include the weeklys and deluxe as well.
If the answer is yes, then it would be impossible and crazy to complete. But it makes more sense.
In my opinion original TWD should have a separate set, same for Deluxe and weeklys.
I am 100% with @ZombieDealer
Let's add two new sets - Walking Dead Delux with Variants (2020) and Walking Dead Delux (2020). As @Sensei Ryan has said elsewhere, I think any book eligible for the a slot in the first set should be acceptable for its corresponding slot in the second set.
