Things might be better if he offered singles versus sets. There are only 2 covers I like, but the only way to get them is to by the 6 book set.

Downside to all of this is that if they go through eBay to get resolution, as the seller you will almost always need to refund or replace, versus if the buyer would contact you directly first to have the issues resolved. “Not as described” is killer if someone is not satisfied, even if you don’t offer returns that by passes everything in ebays eyes. This has been my experience with the eBay anyway.

I believe there are also some random incentives thrown into the mix similar to a 1:100 variant.

In essence we cannot make copies of art that we do not have the rights to reproduce? I’d think making a photocopy of an image just for personal use would be ok. Surprised kinkos didn’t allow this. I’d agree that keeping the OA in safe keeping and a reprint for showing is ideal.

Makes sense, but why all the sudden is my issue. It’s one thing if it’s been a thing for a while but now out of no where there’s a charge. Maybe a gradual tax, or a notice or some form of an FYI would help. Guess that’s what this thread is for...its our disclaimer for future cons.
