  1. 6.0 some tanning, center page close to detaching, left front corner scuffed, some minor checks in the spine.
  2. If you could get the resolution of the photos a lot closer, it would make it far easier to evaluate. Tight focus on the spine and corners would be a great help.
  3. value is in the hands of demand versus availability. That just doesn't change.
  4. I still own all my JIM and my '84 has a funny feel to the cover, like it's a little thin. The paper is very delicate, not like the other ones. I wonder sometimes if the brown ink had an effect on the actual paper or were there variations in paper quality at the printers making one cover more or less durable than another? I'm well aware of chipping. If you don't admire the ads on the back cover, you'll never learn to play the piano. 3.0
  5. does that mean the comic is not in your hands and you're thinking of buying it.? If you can't get them, look elsewhere. The comic has a lot of issues just from the cover. In the green spider man is that a tear? It looks like one. The color abrasion n the Jackal is big and serious. The upper staple looks like it's rusting some and there's substantial tanning on the lead page of the drawings. Without the back cover and better pictures, it's hard to grade. I don't know if I want to go to a 3.0 but I would concur with that based on what we see.
  6. tiny checks on the spine. Tiny corner fluffs. No color breaks, no other nothing. Given the age particularly, 8.0
  7. Hulk 181. You'll earn more to buy others.. maybe. If you think this is a golden ticket, I think you're likely not correct.
  8. If it's already slabbed and you can't see the interior, then, you want to see the graders ntes.
  9. with the checks on the spine at the top left, 9.2. Otherwise a fine looking copy
  10. I tend to think it takes about two more small flaws to fall into a 4.5 from a 5.0 Corners, spine, color breaks.
  11. I'd narrow that to the difference between a 4.5 and a 5.0 It's indeed tighter but requires some looking at the book. How are the corners? Are at least two good? Color breaks? then stains? How does it lay flat? page color? I can indeed add more. A 5.0 is not an uncommon grade, a catchall for mid grade. 6.5 is really a very different animal. What's keeping it from moving up? Why would it fall to a lowly 5. something? I see a 6.5 as entry level serious stuff. It's rare. I don't see that in a 4.5- 5.5 at all.
  12. the difference between a 5.5 and a 6.5 is the width of the grand canyon
  13. no, they'll pay more for the delicate lattice work known as the spine. 1.0
  14. Impressive copy. I see some minor spine degradation, a couple of light dings to corners but all in all, nice to own. Some sort of small ding above "Spaceways" and virtually no color breaks away from the spine. 6.5 to 7.0
  15. the spine is not readable. It would help to have a shot of the centerfold with staples. currently 4.0-4.5 but not improving from there.
  16. Indeed, the top staple out, water damage all over the place, tears, Spine in decay . poor eye appeal. 3.0
  17. It's the first issue where it's no longer Journey into mystery and becomes The mighty Thor. He thumb wrestles Hercules.
