  1. Always causing trouble… I can’t imagine a series of grown men, would take their time to target you in negative light. The simple idea that, men, in their 50s, 60s, and 70s… have nothing else better to do than get involved in online bickering matches with people they don’t like, sounds impossible to me. In the history of the internet, this has never happened before. There is just, no way, grown men on a comic book forum, would ever, EVER act like children.
  2. Sorry to ask if this has already been asked, but has CGC or anyone from CGC acknowledged any of this yet? At all? Has there been any official word whatsoever or so far has this been conversation exclusively outside of CGC?
  3. True. But resale ease and value is most important. CGC grade books are easier to sell than raws
  4. Or the floating head with no hair? I feel like these are dismembered parts of fallen foes of Steve Rogers, which explains the agony on the cover, as he recoils in disgust from his barbaric behaviour.
  5. I did. Precisely because, I had to really think about which storyline I liked the least. The truth is I have sold every book I haven’t enjoyed reading. Every single book in my collection now is a book I am in love with. So whichever book I chose, felt like asking me which child I liked the least. A good problem to have.
  6. This is a great question. It’s also a question I wonder how honest people will be So, I don’t actually own any books in my collection anymore that I don’t love the story… a journey of collecting I’ve been quite vocal about. That being said, the weakest story I think I have, or rather, the story I am least in love with would be this (and I love this book series btw, seriously love it, so what does that tell you):
  7. I agree, I think if Marvel hasn’t already figured out a way to write him out of the future development, they are insane. And this is even if he is found innocent, which, to be honest, I hope he is. If he is found innocent, it just means he isn’t a POS woman beater, and this world is just an insignificantly safer place… But regardless, Marvel needs some heat on their properties so my beloved X-Men and Wolverine IPs can live again!
  8. You are right. I think your points are valid. I think if Paper Girls and Y The Last Man were smash hits, it would be a slam dunk, but… they both tanked after a season. Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples’ Saga would need a nut job of an executive producer to support a project of that magnitude while bleeding money.
  9. And they look like they’re in a room! Not a basement. I wish there was a table and chair furniture piece I could buy that would allow for me to sit and flip through long boxes without getting sore.
  10. Your collection highlights an aspect that isn’t really discussed often, but I think we all experience, is that it just feels good to flip through. That’s a big part of the joy of collecting, especially for completists. I can actually feel myself flipping through your books. How crisp and clean the bags and boards are. How tight (not too tight!) the books are placed together… oh man that would be such a joy. Conversely, that’s actually what I HATE about bargain bin diving, is how ugly and sticky and gross all of the books feel in their old plastics, smashed together with years of abuse… peeling the plastics apart from all the heat and overstuffing… wondering if the book trapped inside could even survive the ordeal. I hate gross books 🤮
  11. It’s no different than anyone in the public eye and with power and authority. I’m not arguing the innocent until proven guilty, but I do believe these matters should be handled in private out of respect for everyone involved. Further to your point, this has no business being front and centre focus to a bunch of whiny bandwagoners that can only focus on the negative gossip. It stands good reason for the art form to be removed from the actors. Isn’t that what they are always arguing? They want to be the character, I’m playing a character, see me as this character… well no one can do that when your personal life dominates conversation. He needs to go, just like how Johnny Depp and Amber Heard needed to go. If I wanted to see a circus, I’d go to cirque du soleil
  12. Wow, really? I was actually shocked how much I liked it! It’s a bit unconventional, it’s a bit uncomfortable, and it’s a bit awkward. This feels so different than what else is available right now. I humbly disagree, this movie could not have been squished into 1 movie. David Lynch’s movie is literally the prime example of why. The last 30 minutes in that movie are rushed and tonally different than the rest of the movie
  13. I do agree, it is sad that people enjoy gossip so much. On that point alone, I think Jonathan Majors should be outright replaced because of the gossip surrounding him. As a respect to the art form and professionalism, he should step down while he sorts this thing out. He won’t though. And that’s what gets me. I understand the need to fight for your integrity, and maybe stepping down would seem like admitting defeat? We can all agree though, that his drama will now, forever encircle the movies he is in, including the MCU. Rather than replacing him, resulting in him being a footnote comment when people watch these things 10 years from now, letting him disappear into the sands of time. He is going to be front and centre and potentially bury this whole franchise, permanently.
  14. He hasn’t stated that recently though. I know you’d think that, with both failed properties that would be the final nail in the coffin, but I argue it’s the opposite. From all I’ve ever read, Brian K Vaughan has simply stated it’s not transferable, as in, the content would get watered down. A lot has happened in 6 years though, and now with streaming the powerhouse that it is, and adult content on the rise… …Don’t be so sure it won’t get adapted. I think Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples are just going to be more prudent about who they use to adapt it more now than ever.
  15. I find donating to member boards is the most action you’ll get with selling comics. 🤣 It feels like a ghost town in here compared to previous years.
  16. This year I was able to get a book I had been hunting for the past 8 years. Some had come up in that timeframe, usually for insane price tags, and I actually started to believe that my holy of holy grails would never be mine. But I got lucky. Really really lucky This year I obtained my Barry Windsor-Smith signed, CGC 9.8 Marvel Comics Presents #72, the first appearance of Weapon X
  17. @CGC Mike Hello sir! Just was curious if there was any update from Marketing on the proposed custom labels? Any idea when CGC might retire the current lineup and release the new batch? Is it too late to make more suggestions? Cheers
  18. Favourite characters off the table. Yes. Excellent point. In truth, I got hooked into Saga because I loved Marko and Alana’a dynamic. They were real, and relatable. I liked The Will at the beginning, a true anti-hero… and Izabel. Saga was hitting on all cylinders. But they switched off of Marko and Alana’s relationship fairly quickly… and characters started dying off or changing as the story progressed… I will forever state how the first 18 issues of Saga were magical, lightning in a bottle. I can honestly say I haven’t read many runs like that which pulled me in so dramatically. Saga was my life. Issue 19 was a pivotal change. It was just different, and it ended for me at issue 36. Issue 37 onwards was, honestly, me reading and hoping for the glory days. They haven’t returned. Edit: I also have to add this part, but will hide it for polite purposes.
  19. I will absolutely read this. I liked 300 but compared to the movie, it was super short. This looks exciting
