I think you've hit on an important point there. This particular book would be a good candidate for submission BECAUSE of the type of pen used (soft tipped marker). A ball-point pen signature may hold up better over time, but the impression of that pen signature will likely cause a down-grade for the condition.

I'd be fairly certain that all those signatures would amount to more than $1k. I think you're going to have to go with "unlimited".

that at least the first 9 issues have Matt Baker text illustrations

Can you two share some of the interiors on 5+? When I researched them, I only found the first four had MB.
Some pics I took of a few...

If a book has only one staple and there are no holes where the other staple should be- shouldn’t that be a rarity rather than a defect?
Can't it be both? Defective because now you need to handle it with much more care...
During WW2, many comics were only allowed a single staple as the metal was needed for the war. Most of those issues have staple tears.
A comic without any staples would be better.

I "activated" a few of my HA purchased items for the "make an offer/buy it now" function. There was immediate interest and decent offers. I made counters on some initial offers, but either I or the other party declined and cancelled the negotiation.
Here's the problem: I can't tell if there is more than one person making offers for the items. If I'm dealing with one person, then I know where we stand on the countering offers position and I would realize there is limited interest in the item and make the sale. If I'm dealing with multiple parties, I'm certainly going to hold out for a better offer and possibly work the potential buyers against the other. Wouldn't it be in HA's interest to label the potential buyer someway so that sellers can make a better decision to sell? "Buyer A" "Buyer B" etc....

Lenticular cover would typically not be paper. Cleaning might turn out to be easy.

This does happen. You will need to contact someone at CGC to help them understand the distinction between the two books.

Clearly no interior content by Baker. Thanks for the link!

Slash-D Doublecross is not listed in Art of Glamour. Overstreet lists it, and shows no Baker credits (as per the 50th Edition, the most recent one I own). Grand Comics Database says the cover pencils and inks are by Matt Baker, but incorrectly credits Baker with pencils on most stories and adds, "Art looks like Matt Baker layouts."
Again, I own this issue and have examined every page. The cover might be by Baker, but there is absolutely nothing inside that looks like Baker. Nothing.
I added the book to my watchlist. My recollection in viewing the interior images provided was that the last story my have been touched by Baker. I'll need to look again...

Better with back in front, or better with the blue label? Below is the correct "front."
Yes, both. Yellow label doesn't matter too much anymore with the JSA authentication now available. I've been wanting a copy of that book for a little while. I like it it!

I think it's better this way. If your intention is to sell, it would probably do better also.
