  1. I have a US edition too, not just UK. I'll see if they're on top of a pile so that I can take some pictures. You might have found a "new" edition here!
  2. REALLY nice illustration. Here's my 2 cents (since we have now dedicated four pages to this): the corner post was cracked. I could see the white glare of the shattered plastic in one of those photos. The book looked about right at 8.0, but I didn't like that top right corner impact. The older cases are a bit different than the current iteration. Many of the top labels peeled off over time, and plenty of the CGC labels got wavy inside the holder. I would NOT have suggested any shenanigans with that book, but you've already made a decision and returned it. Doesn't matter now.
  3. PS. I have the UK editions of the first four and they are the Baker editions. That Kubert Copy may be a rarity.
  4. This is the first I've heard of alternate editions, but mine is the Baker illustration copy. Mine also indicates Baker as the Artistic Director in the copyright block, but I'm not seeing that on yours (it's difficult to read in your picture). Baker didn't show up with Art Director credit in subsequent issues. Maybe something happened after the initial printing and Eagle wanted to distance itself from MB?

Poor elephant is bleeding all over the place!
  6. I'm thinking if someone just put 9.2 for every book, would they win this?
  7. Umm, please don't set me on fire. Those Secrets are stunning. Gonna have to search for a few...

I'm okay with Sheena, but that lion....
  10. I'm very impressed with his rivets. Well, everything actually. These look terrific. I can't do those small eyes on certain characters, so I ended up printing on water decal paper for a transfer.
  11. NICE! I downloaded a few screenshots of the other scripts that have been slowly rolling out. I thought I had found the resulting story for one of them, but I didn't have the time to research further. I hadn't heard of the writer before, but looking him up now.... WOW. Lot's of published work (and in nearly all of my favorite titles too).
  12. Any chance you/him would share a pic of his mold? Steel??? Rubber (how does it withstand the pressure)?? Doing injection molding in a home shop seems nuts...
  13. Maybe intended for one of those digests (two page spread with the gutter center)?
  14. Oh look, everybody's got one.... except me.
  15. Since I see a second printing of #2 on HA, I guess I'll have to take pictures of the other books.... (and after I post the pics, they'll magically appear for sale in some venue)
  16. Well, not MY favorites, but this will be some interesting results...
  17. There was some discussion of this topic in the movie threads. Bad press is good press too. That Winnie the Pooh movie only drew more attention to those characters. Perhaps revitalizing the OG fan-base. I could care less if someone makes a bad superman movie. They're doing that now. But if one good superman story comes from it, I'm happy! And the other thing to keep in mind, public domain will only allow those character's initial versions to be used (Superman without flight, without Kryptonite, without Supergirl, etc). There are so many elements that are added onto these characters as the years go by that wouldn't yet be public domain.
  18. Nice copy! GCD says "Pike" with a question mark. I can see Pike hallmarks.
  19. You'd need to go digging to find the source... Posted December 22, 2020 JUST MARRIED* Well, how else do I get a roof over my head and rubbish sex for the next twenty years? Our eyes met, Perry's and mine, and it wasn't as it used to be! There was no silent message of love across that span, no unseen caress, as there was when we were first married! Something was gone between us, something vital and necessary.... With that said, he still had that massive cock of his so..... This was what every young couple dream of...My love and I alone on a lovely horse, sorry, island... Sea, sky and sun! Oh, that fing seagull. It's sht all over me trousers again the little fer My Love was so fierce that I wanted to control his every moment... My love for him was driving him from me... "My heart was my betrayer!" "Daphne" "Yes Dave?" "Shut up" "Yes Dave" What else did I have apart from these rotten shoes...? Only my dreams of past romances...! This was my only escape - the wet dream to end all wet dreams. That's right - Frigathon Friday. Get me the Kleenex and the Smilemaker 3000. Now! All of the wonder and joy of true love was theirs... But destiny had a cruel joke to play! "Change of heart" "Do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, from this day forward, in sickness and in health and until death do you part?" "No" "No?" "No. I've had a change of heart" "Well that's that bolloxed then isn't it" No pence copies were harmed in the making of this horseshine* JUST MARRIED* He might be smiling now, but just wait until I've got bingo wings and an arse the size of Deptford! ps.
