Thanks for that LMAO. I'd not be surprised though if at some future date the slab label is not printed and instead is a display which pulls a data feed. Something for the 7G or 8G era's

1 #38 was not enough Actually I picked one up and forgot to remove from my want list then picked up another. My #39 is "Hot Mess" for a 1979 9.8; Unattractive wrap plus ow/w and love it anyway.

Hi Folks: Title Black Panther Issue No. 14 Issue Date 3/79 Year 1979 Publisher Marvel Comics Black Panther 14 (Marvel 1979) represents Bill Sienkiewicz's first published cover art ! The First cover of an artist of Sienkiewicz's caliber deserves to be recognized. Sadly CGC wrongly and mistakenly attributes the cover art to Jerry Bingham who merely did interiors. https://www.cgccomics.com/census/grades_standard.asp?title=Black+Panther&issue=14&publisher=Marvel+Comics&year=1979&issuedate=3/79 The Correct Black Panther 14 (Marvel 1979) cover artists are; Bill Sienkiewicz/Joe Rubenstein both of who will gladly verify that. The cover art was recently displayed in another thread, I sure am jelly, and you can clearly see the correct artist info near top right as per Marvel standards of the time. Marvel shows the correct credits on their websites; https://www.marvel.com/comics/issue/17860/black_panther_1977_14 https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Black_Panther_Vol_1_14 GCD also displays the correct cover art credit: https://www.comics.org/issue/33206/ It is long overdue that Bill Sienkiewicz's "historic" first cover gets it proper due from CGC! 1) Please correct cover credit to read "Bill Sienkiewicz/Joe Rubenstein cover 2) Add the following notation; "1st Bill Sienkiewicz published cover" @CGC Mike Entered as you suggested. Hoping this huge slight, even though unintended, against Comic Artist Legend Bill Sienkiewicz is quickly corrected

Yeah they hit about 4-5 years back. I'd had searched for a copy since 2000 then suddenly they were "everywhere". #13 was my number one Marvel HB Grail and one of my top 10 most sought after books from my 1980's childhood quarter bin days so I ain't complaining.

The spine on #12 is a huge challenge. When I evaluate a book I start with the spine. I'd guess most other collectors start with corners or edges but for me a perfect spine outweighs other defects. Kudos on your great eye all that time ago.

Thanks Lyndsey; 1 more Have self-compiled sets of these 75 and 76 Marvels in my grading pile that were going to go the folks in CA prior to the Pandemic. I really like how your labels match the Comic slabs so will be submitting them to CGC instead.
