  1. redacted due to excellent seller update.
  2. Q/C issues aside what you have described is far more concerning as a cover-up was performed. In the firm I work for, mistakes usually slide without any future repercussions, but cover-ups are intentional malice and lead to immediate dismissal. .
  3. technical grades; beauty and presentation do not factor in the score. For collectors, buy the book not the label applies
  4. No. Sucks this happened but stay the course registered items are about as safe as shipping gets even if it takes a mess of detours.
  5. Many Moon Knight appearances seemed to get levels they never should have. Then the show landed and Moon Knight barely appeared it was mostly Grant/Spector/etc.... Some episodes the hippo got more screen time than MK. If there is a Season 2, no reason to expect much different and smart folks won't let themselves be stung again which means smaller pool of buyers. Still plenty of room for WBN32 to drop, however it does have rather low 9.4 and higher population so I do expect it to bounce back but it could be decade before it approaches it's previous highs, longer for the higher pop mid grades.
  6. really?? My post had nothing to with Silver Age! This thread is not limited to Silver Age nor Silver Age Key of Key stuff. If you re-read my post: it stated Modern/Copper/Bronze High Supply books
  7. Regardless of Modern/Copper/Bronze High Supply books will be affected first and foremost - glut era will by far be hit hardest. Of course there will be outliers folks there always are, however they are not an indication of true market health. If you sell comics, I don't, specifically high population stuff you may look back 3-12 months from now and think selling in Sept 2022 as prices were in early stages of free-fall may not have been a bad idea. I again postulate that a whole bunch high pop stuff may very well fall below pre-pandemic levels. I think that type of correction+ is already underway with books like ASM361, MCP72, X-Men 1,4. McFarlane being super hot right now has postponed what will be one of the largest % falls from grace; Spawn 1. No book on the planet has more 9.8 copies and every census update seems to go up by a hundred or so... "The Wind's Of Thor Are Blowing Cold" - Jones/Page/Plant
  8. If you paid by card open a dispute with the issuer ASAP! BTW no surprise on the dealer reaction. While I'm sure honest Comic Dealers and Comic Shop Owners exist, in all my years I've never met a single one.
  9. Is the ink? marker? over the DC Bullet on the bag or the comic?
  10. It's become very bad especially in and around Penn Station. Income from Tourism is easy clean money in bunches but it appears NYC leaders want to go back to the 1970's and 1980's when Manhattan was "No Man's Land". Please though, lets not veer off into politics.
  11. If 9.8 perhaps Still except for hot stuff, FMV's are dropping. =========================== IMHO in long term Hulk 250 will offer higher ROI than 256. Also it will maintain it's value due to a number of factors such as a memorable Hulk Surfer battle #Hulk250isReal1stSabreAndArabianKnight
  12. Same here , since Oct 19 2021. 1 moved to SFG yesterday. BTW they arrived at CGC Sept 16 2021
  13. IMHO Keep it raw. Given 1/3 of cover is missing the grading and shipping charges just aint worth it
  14. From what I've seen: Modern 30-40% less Copper 15-25% less Bronze 5-20% less Silver - White commands a premium over OW/W. Seem to be a faction of collectors who value White pages nearly above all. Some of them have mentioned they would rather a 9.4w than 9.6ow/w. As for me on a Silver Age book I'll take the 9.6 ow/w any day... Newb Pandemic era buyers may not have shown any concern with page quality but as they incur heavy negative ROI's and exit the hobby many less buyers will paying the "White" price for ow/w or lower on Copper or later books. There are many variables of course and I could be way off on everything
  15. The market is very fluid now and for the most part highly affected by gravity!
  16. Think it depends on who owns the book the house (in disguise) or another entity. then depends on how they play it item by item. BTW story like yours are probably lower priced lots from average consignees and cast just enough doubt that the rubes will believe the house is not being dishonest. BTW the head of that house has prior convictions! As for CC I've only bid on 2 items from them it was more than 10 years ago and both of course ended at my exact maximum bid. Its too tiny a sample of course but a very common story with them.
  17. I track over 40 items last 1 year, all except 5 are down month to month. I track only eBay "real" auction sales no fixed price. Almost all are 1975-1990 books. From July- Current the drops are 25% or more nearly across the board. I don't have the data with me to display at moment. I also do not sell and track mainly out of curiosity. So it really matters little fiscally to me except as a buyer. My opinion any non Key of Keys high-ish pop Bronze or Copper still has plenty of room to drop. I will not be surprised if we see certain books fall below March 2020 FMV . ala BTO "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet"
  18. Evanier mentioned it in within an article on his blog late last year or early this year - searching his blog is not easy, but give it a ago I'm sure you will eventually find it. Logically: Sergio is 85 assuming anything ever reaches fruition it will be years. Will he really be able to take on such an effort? As for Mark I believe he is 67, by the time anything is ever developed he'll be pushing 70 or past it. Based on his blog-ings he is comfortable with more work than he can handle and he has no heirs. Will he really want to take on the grind of a TV show again? Based on his writings looks very unlikely. Perhaps had it been 10-12 years back? The time has passed. Again without Sergio and Mark controlling Groo 100% it will likley come off as a cartoon about mass murder. I've said it before and I say it again the whole "animation exploration rights" is and will be a nothing burger - and no I don't care who purchased those exploration rights. Less than 1% of those explorations ever amount to any final product and when they do it's usually just a failed pilot. Although perhaps the % ticks up a tad with so many current venues compared to years past? I love Groo, but any purchasing the books at current FMV will lose money. Since I don't sell comics, and own all the keys in 9.8, I am merely offering my honest opinions .
  19. Not related to the topic but thought I'd mention; Love Pollard's 1978-1980 work on ASM, FF, and Thor as well as covers from other Marvel Titles, like Cap, during that time. His work during that time frame IMHO was A-List
  20. That sucks. Having a detailed inventory with CGC certs recorded is important. Glad to see they do that
  21. Sad. Appears he was "blind to this addiction" now "all fall down, like toy soldiers" BTW this may one future day be the fate of Comic Books.Time is the great equalizer.
