  1. Amazing how many dealers fail to understand cash flow You are completly correct, with so many jumping ship from the hobby - typical for a bubble burst - those that remain will be looking for current date pricing or less. We will see in 1-2 years how many comic dealers have true business accumen by who is left standing. It sure wont be those who price like a bubble is still in effect. If history in any indicator next bubble at best will be in the 2030's BTW same thing occuring in Trading Cards.
  2. There is no qc at cgc Keep in mind when going only from pics deterering a 9.6 and up is far from accurate Imho it has 9.4 potential
  3. For the kind of art you collect its now a hobby for the wealthy or those lucky enough to have jumped in 1-2 decades ago. Im the latter Routine panel pages are now pretty much are at cover prices from when i got into the hobby in the late 90s This will not change in our lifetimes. Those without large bankrolls looking to get into vintage published superhero OA especially marvel may want to rethink their hobby choice. BTW Thursday attendence to me appeared to be very close to pre pandemic level. Friday was a full on mob scene. I left early due to the crowding I never ever do weekends
  4. CGC will hammer it based on color loss alone. 4.5 / 5.0 - IMHO cost of press and grading might be double the books value. As mentioned by others unless this exact copy has personal meaning to you just keep it in a new mylar.
  5. hmmmm Penn State and timeline fits - probably code for Paterno ignoring what Sandusky was doing
  6. IMHO Nah, non-violent Misdemeanors in different states.
  7. It's whole lot of time and effort to prove a felony on shoplifting collectibles especially when they are raw. Most DA offices are so swamped it will be plead to a low misdemeanor - at most, especially given the way the guy looks, then he'll be at it again. Distribute the pics to sellers at shows/cons in the region is probably only thing that can be done.
  8. BTW I attended one Motor City Con in the 1990's. Had a great time. Can't believe it was 25 years ago....
  9. Face pics can be found on page 3 here: Still, it's whole lot of time and effort to prove a felony on shoplifting collectibles especially when they are raw. Most DA's are so swamped it will be plead to a low misdemeanor - at most, especially given the way the guy looks then again he'll be at it. So distribute the pics to dealers at every shown/con in the region.
  10. Reach out to Don Perlin, commission him to draw a squiggle on an acetate then and this is key have him staple the acetate onto the WBN 32 and then Voila! Simply pay CGC a fee to receive a Blue Label CGC10 grade. Not exactly a wise-acre answer as pretty much the exact thing has been done on other books as recently as Aug 2022.
  11. I would have agreed 1-2 years back but most of the multitude of 2020-2021 bandwagon jumpers are exiting en mass from the hobby. Those outgoing huge numbers are not being replaced by the trickle in compression that is coming in. The folks leaving were a huge catalyst in causing high pop bronze-copper-modern books to sublimate. It may be decades before that is seen again just like the gap from the 1993/1994 to 2020/2021 As always my opinion is not directed towards Silver/Atomic/Gold nor outliers nor hot books de jour.
  12. and Oakland. Oakland's are flat, sharp, clean and 8 of 10 are not WP's.
  13. A $5 raw purchase from 1999. Kirby/Sinnott Cover, Perez Sinnott/Interiors WOW!
  14. My first slabbed Andru ASM is back. Perhaps the 1974 Andru ASM's I submitted Econ early Nov 2021 will be back this year? A $18 1999 con raw purchase from Motor City - BTW my strips indicated White Pages, did CGC pay their overhead lighting bills?
  15. Fantastic Four 148 CGC 9.2 oww - fugly wrap. I disagree. It's not angled and with the white background on the cover it's not bad at all. Thor 194 CGC 9.6 oww - another example from the land of misfit comics that wants to be adopted Yep - proof positive that Comic grading is on technical merit and does not take visual appeal into consideration. If it was a stupid trading card PSA would knock it down to lower than NM likley EX anyhow good luck on that Care Bears
  16. Locations in 15 states, 29 in Florida! But yes most are in NYC metro https://locations.carvel.com/index.html
  17. I enjoy viewing art even if i do not own it and post mine for others. I do bet for some its an ego thing still even if so others do have the opportunity to view it which is nice.
  18. Due to one of kind I see that less llikley for 20th century mainstream superhero art. Now for non key Comic Books i do agree with you. Do remember vintage superhero OA art was not barely even slowed 2007-2008. As for run of the mill modern pieces by not in demand artists correction will occur - maybe
  19. Sure Hulk 1 is fine but what about hulk 340? Its high pop bronze, copper, and modern taking the hits. I dont believe anyone even alluded to hulk 1 type stuff tanking
  20. Marvel was able to publish Giant Size Man-Things in the 70s, Wizards should have at least issued some $$$shot forest nymph cards by now. Down with up err i mean prudes
