  1. Yeah but the cat is also in the tree branch panel! I bid on this one...
  2. I just got outbid on the Redondo Swamp Thing - lost to a cut bid - ouch!
  3. What dealers did you trade with that provided the positive experiences mentioned - I am sure positive feedback will be ok to share?
  4. Hello Community, Shock Suspense Stories #3 (EC, 1952) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. Severed head panel. Wally Wood cover and art. Joe Orlando, Jack Davis, and Jack Kamen art Not sure if there is some special heat on this book but I got a strong offer on HA.com so seeing if someone else may want it before I accept that offer Closed plus $20 shipping to the US - Zelle and check preferred but Paypal accepted at the listed price I am looking for a sale this weekend - so by Nov 19 Best, Mark P.S. I am posting here as this book was purchased at Heritage where I have opted into the make an offer on feature - this is against marketplace rules and I received a moderation point for this violation so be warned!
  5. ...and of course, Frost Giant's Daughter...so perhaps post-Conan 15 would be more a better cut point? There are a lot of nice Conan 11 pages running around just now so that suppresses prices a bit...
  6. What's worse is they changed the artist from Virgil Redondo to Nestor Redondo - no way this is Nestor
  7. I haven't watched Bill's summary but I believe the past sales made $1M+...pretty sure this one is down at least 30%. Sell-through is at `8% which I think was ~ 10% in the past but I could be wrong. I feel it is an indication that people are a bit more cautious these days - also fixed price sales require a bit more faith or knowledge than an auction when things are not booming. I sold 5 pieces so far with 2 more in trade talks and bought 4 so not so bad. (Update one trade deal closed so 6 sold and 5 picked up) It is worth going through the site - and there is a convenient search - which you can't do at a physical convention!
  8. Sweet book - for some reason got two of these in same month, May 2017...
  9. Nightmare on Elm Street always crept me out....Buckler/Alcala
  10. Had that happen to my ST110 - they called me but no remedy offered
  11. In all the excitement for this topic, we all forgot to say what a sweet copy that is!
  12. Very little exists from Timely/Atlas era Below is only cover art I am aware of - owner suggests there is another in the header: EVERETT - Astonishing cover (1 of 2 Atlas covers known to exist?), in Richard Donnelly's ATLAS EVERETT COVER - (Horror) Comic Art Gallery Room (comicartfans.com) On interiors, Young Men 26 is out there - you can see a few pages in HA.com archives and online - and of course, the historic Marvel comics 1 page just posted The Everett estate sold some nice art on HA.com a while back One less thing to worry about raising funds for - if this cover popped up, no telling what it would sell for... 13. Here is mine...free con sketch from a very creative guy! Didn't get another piece for quite a few years...I believe my first piece of published art was part of a deal I made for a bunch of Studio artist portfolios that had BWS and Jones in it - I didn't collect original art so I sold the pair of Wrightson Swamp Thing pages at an early SDCC - live and learn !
  14. Thanks Everyone - including one of the creators, Scott!
  15. This page just sold at HA for $9.600 (with juice) Is there something special about this page or is this pretty much market? Thanks! Mark _________________ Jim Lee and Scott Williams WildC.A.T.S: Covert Action Teams #4 Story Page 20 Original Art (Image, 1993). Voodoo discovers Spartan still exists after sacrificing himself to stop Helspont. Jacob Marlow (Lord Emp) and Void are also featured on this page from early in the Jim Lee-helmed title. 16. Hello Tick Fans, Hope this is not vs. some rules but... I am attending SDCC - I was cleaning my parents attic and found my large Talking Tick figures and the sizeable torture box (Mint in box) I haven't done the research on prices yet but if someone is at the con tonight or Friday then I could hand-deliver them - assuming we can agree on appropriate price Thanks! Mark marktlevy@yahoo.com
  17. I'll be there Saturday with an original art portfolio - I am not planning on carting along any slabs but if you need an ASM 8 in 9.2W or some misc, Everett Atlas slabs let me know - here is the Atlas slab list - Marvel Tales 151 - 4.5 - Mystery Tales 2 - 5.5 - Mystery Tales 10 - 5.5 - Mystic 42 - 4.5 - Mystic 53 - 4.5 - Strange Tales 21 - 4.0 - Uncanny Tales 55 - 5.0 marktlevy@yahoo.com I will also be in SDCC Wed - Fri... 18. Gordon Christman Tracey Heft - Eclipse Paper I've also had one recommendation for each of these: Paper, Paintings and more Alexandra vonHawk, Fine Arts Conservator www.vonhawklabs.com alexandra@vonhawklabs.com +1.352.669.7776 She has an amazing on-line resume. Paper: Jonathan Derow - vetted for works on paper - http://www.jdconservation.com/ James Pascoe - https://www.jamespascoe.net/ Mark F McDermott - https://www.EarthshineStudios.com Andrea Pitsch - apnyc@rcn.com Paintings: Jill Pratzon - amazing for works on board and canvas. HIGHLY recommended. - http://www.jillpratzon.com/ I would add that most major museums know of paper conservators. You might want to contact someone at a local museum and see if there is a conservator close to you. FYI, Gordon moved a few miles...so the street address (330 South Horne Street) is not correct Mark
  19. GORDON CHRISTMAN <ggc2k@hotmail.com> He is in Southern California - which is convenient for me He generally has a significant lead time - worth it to me Mark
  20. Likely timing is an element - who is looking in that time window - but some folks look beyond the number on the slab...maybe not so much on modern books...but can attract or deter the incremental buyer
  21. Conan 58 1st Belit (You can remove 1st Belit from Conan GS 1 - it only mentions her name - the tiny woman is not Belit, it is Valeria - if you can't admit the error then go Belot cameo if you must) Compare this to Hulk 180/181 if you doubt that Beloit's 1st App is Conan 58 Yes, I have a few Conan 58s!
