  1. Ah just joking. I mean not literally everything. I'd be proud to own that book too. Don't blame you for creating a new thread just for it. Gorgeous copy. By the way what do you think that stamp on the back says?
  2. Wow that's a real beauty. So you start new threads for everything?
  3. Love is a burning thing. Real nice copies, the 8.0 looks undergraded.
  4. I kind of remember seeing this Daisy cover Tec 33 somewhere a few years back. Nice clean ,bright cover.
  5. I'm not in the habit of telling complete strangers about my personal life. I guess it all started back in the late 80's when I had this crazy idea to acquire every DC and Marvel comic from Fantastic Four #1 to GSXM #1 (minus romance titles) , an endeavor I pursued for many years. Well I still have massive feelings of regret. I don't think this therapy is working.
  6. Me too. That is concerning. And respect to you for telling us. And cracking it instead of selling it to someone was a very honorable thing to do, not sure if I'd have that same level of honor. BATMAN 9 CGC 2.0 Centerfold Definitely Not Married
  7. Hey....You know you're right, moisture. Humidity, changes in humidity, would do that to books sealed together in plastic in bundles of 25. So on reconsideration it was a after all.
  8. Oh boy this is awkward. No just kidding. Oh now I made it awkward. I once bought bundles of Bronze books all the same issues wrapped in thick plastic and taped tightly. Supposedly they were from a distributor and never hit the rack. NM books but on a lot of them the ink from the back cover of some transferred to the front cover of the book beneath it. Not heavy but noticable especially in the white areas. They were sealed like that in bundles of 25 for about 30 years until I opened them. I was thinking maybe under the right type of light or with some high tech gizmo they could see traces of ink transfer from the back of the last page to the inside of the back cover, ink so faint that can't be seen with the naked eye. Ah maybe it was a funny post.
  9. Oh no! How did I miss this? I check the Ga selling section every 108 minutes around the clock.
  10. I know. But from what Primetime said I think there is no 100% conclusive way to tell for sure. From the ways they can tell I would think the most conclusive way would be from the split of the covers, if both the front and back were once joined. This being a married cover that would not apply. again to be clear I'm not suggesting the back cover is not from a 27. I'm no rebelrouser. On the other hand knowing what I know now I don't think because it's a married cover that it could be 100% conclusive. That's the #2 reason I won't be bidding. The #1 reason is I have no money.
  11. Wow, you really knew exactly who to ask. Wow, you really knew exactly how to answer. . Thanks for that thorough and good explanation. So is there any way the boys down at the CGC lab could possibly tell which book it came from (Tec 27 or AC 12)? Maybe if there was detectable ink transfer from the last page to the inside of the back cover. I'm not implying or suspecting it's from an AC 12. With what you said being fact, and I know it's not my place to say, but now I think it would have been better with just the front cover with a Blue label.
  12. I'm glad you said that. Hi Yorick, is there any way to tell them apart?
  13. Gotham Kid already brought this up in the Pre Robin Tec Club thread and an interesting dialogue has already commenced.
  14. I'm not going to even try to guess this one. I was just thinking that if it was just the front cover in a Blue label holder it might sell for more then in it's current state.
  15. Cool. I hadn't seen that. Married back cover . Green label . I wonder if that will hurt it . If it was just the front cover with a Blue PG label it might sell for more, and they would still have the back cover to sell seperately. Now that I think of it seems really odd. Cover only, back cover married. This deserves another emoji. Does that mean they are physically connected somehow? If the front and back covers are from 2 different books I guess they could also say the front cover is married as well.
  16. Yeah they are so cool. Did you or someone you know make them? If so they have some serious talent.
  17. Price lowered to 1,250. I can go a little lower depending on chosen payment method. Thanks for looking Closed for now. You all know where to find me .
  18. Did a little looking. I'm pretty sure that's the 1st person being thrown type cover in comics. Now that I think of it I guess they are all spawns of Action #1.
  19. There it is, that's the one I was waiting for. Not your's particularly but I'm glad it was. Pretty sure it's the first woman being thrown cover.
  20. Regarding that old debate over Tec 40, in my opinion it isn't technically a Joker cover. It was originally drawn as the Joker that's obvious but it was altered to be Clayface, therefore it is Clayface. The only kind of close example I can think of would be X-Men 33 1967. I'm only writing this because I've recently learned that things that are different are not the same.
  21. Hey Mrs. S! How ya been? I used to think that was Lois also but I'm pretty sure it's not her. I had to look it up but I think it's that little vixen Bea Carroll from Action 1 and Superman 1. She's not actually in AC 23 or 24.
  22. I know the CGC number is hard to read on these 1st generation holders so here it is.

Shipping - 10.00 US, 20.00 Canada Alright, Shield-Wizard issue 7 CGC 5.0 Cream/Off White. 18 Blue Labels, 2 Purples on census. This is at least to my eyes no doubt a Jack Kirby cover. Kind of interesting that Jack Kirby, co-creator of Captain America, would do just one cover for MLJ and he changes The Shields costume which became a permanent change. Wonder what the story behind that is. Holder is in great shape, no need for a re-holder. Obviously this was well taken care of. 1,600.00 , 1,250.00
