  1. You know what? Maybe we could have proceeded after I refunded his money and he then updated his paypal info. But it never got to that point because he got all dramatic about it once I refunded the money. And I don't want to do business with someone like that. What some of you are people seem to disregard is that it is my comic. And if I choose not to sell it to someone that my right.
  2. Anyone accusing me of refunding his money because somebody else offered me more money is making an assumption. There is no evidence at all that I did that. And no one is going to pay 1850.00 for a 9.0 WWBN 32 right now on a private forum. Its selling for less than that on ebay right now. It is crystal clear that there was issues with the shipping address. I had a choice. Either send it to an address which doesn't match his paypal account or send it to an apartment where he used to live and let whoever lives there now sign for it. At that point I chose to simply refund the money in the hopes that he wouldn't behave as if I stole one of his kidneys. Like I said this person has no posts here. I do not know him at all. And Paypal really doesn't care about tracking these days if a buyer makes a claim. In most cases they will side with the buyer. So yes based on that I decided to bail. And I would do it again especially now that I see how the buyer is behaving. A deal fell through. It happens. Its not some sort of tragic event. I broke no rules and did nothing unethical. I simply refunded his money right after the shipping address issue came up. I made a decision based on experience and common sense. If the buyers shipping information was up to date he would have had his comic and I would have my money. But you don't see me going on the internet trying to get him suspened from a website and complaining how he screwed me over. He is the one who caused this not me.
  3. I have one called Amazing Fantasy #15 with some sort of man-spider on the cover. That might be worth 150.00. Looks old.
  4. Hi thank you. If the case is that I got a better offer after J2 paid me then I guess I got pretty lucky that an issue arose with the shipping address which gave me an excuse to refund his money. And I feel sending an expensive comic to an address which the buyer no longer lives could be considered an issue. For all I know meth heads live at his old address. Its not exactly Beverely Hills up there. So I guess I got lucky that he gave me an excuse to refund his money in order to sell it to another for 150.00 more. Either that or I'm psychic. And it was handled in private, but then he decided to come here and make it the whole worlds business. And instead of people telling him to relax he's out no money and its only damn comic book which is very plentiful they decide to accuse me of scamming him. Now I'm stuck here defending myself to a bunch of strangers.
  5. I'm older than you. I know this because I looked you up. 1,700 dollars is a lot of money to me. I sent your money back 100% right after you informed me that you do not live at the residence listed on your paypal account anymore. I don't know you. I don't know who lives at that old apartment now. You're probably an honest hard woking good person. Next time keep your paypal information up to date and this won't happen. I'm sorry that this has you so upset. And while youre here can you explain to the nice people here who are accusing me of raising the price posted from 1,700.00 to 1850.00 then selling it to someone else for 1850.00 that the asking price on the post was 1,850.00 the entire time. And I'm not decieving anybody. You do not live at the residence in which you want me to ship the comic. I'm not taking that chance. I will not do that. How many times do I have to say this? So if you feel the need to try to make it so I can't sell here anymore go ahead if it will make you feel better. I'm as straight up as it gets when it comes to buying and selling comics on any platform but when it comes to private sales with people I don't know and an issue arises with the shipping address I choose to err on the side of caution which I believe I have the right to do. And its nothing personal at all.
  6. Explain how I was a turd? I refunded his money for the reason I've stated. I do realize that a lot of you on this board are just bored and I understand very well the way mob mentality works. But why don't you elaborate, be specific about how I was a turd. Can you do that? Are you capable? I have faith in you, you can do it. And for all of you - Tell me exactly what rule I broke here? A person with no history here wants me to send an expensive comic to an apartment where he no longer resides after he had already wanted me to send it to an address that doesn't match his paypal account. I chose not too. So maybe one of you who know so much about so much could tell me exactly what rule or law I broke. I told him before he paid very clearly that he needs to sign for this book upon delivery. So tell me how can he sign for it if he doesn't even live there?
  7. Well I would expect that from a 12 or 13 year old girl but I'm assuming you are a grown adult. Yes I decided not to sell to someone and I was very clear on my reasons. My comic, my money, my risk, my decision. Its between me and him and has nothing to do with anybody here. Here is how grown adults act: A deal didn't go though and they deal with it like adults. They don't go on message boards crying about it. "oh boo hoo the bad man wouldn't selll me his comic everybody pity me". Again that would be normal for 13 year old girls but not for grown adult men. If you disagree with my reason for not selling him the comic thats fine. But it wasn't your comic and it wasn't your money at risk was it? So I'm asking you please to mind your own business and stop trying to start trouble for me. Can you do that please?
  8. Yeah I'm real hostile. So you like starting trouble for people you don't know? Kind of like what a troll does? Yeah david I decided not to sell somebody a comic and mail it to a residence where they don't live. That makes me so hostile. Is your life so pathetic that you have nothing else better do to than try and start trouble for people? I've sold many comics here for fair prices and every buyer was happy including the person who bought this FF 45 when it was sold.. If I chose not to sell to someone with no posts and a questionable shipping address thats my business and has nothing to do with you. Are you really that desperate for attention?
  9. The answer is yes that was a factor in my decision to call it off. And I have made it clear here repeatedly the same reason in detail as to why I chose not to proceed. And if the person simply kept his shipping address up to date on paypal this would not have happened. Again my comic, my risk, my decision. I'm sorry so many of you have a problem with me not sending an expensive comic to an apartment which the buyer no longer resides and hope whoever lives there now and signs for it and gives it to him. I've sold thousands of comics in my life. Thousands. 99 % of the time all goes well. Sometimes deals don't go through and you simply deal with it.
  10. Valid? My book. I wasn't good with sending to the buyers old address and he'll pick it up there. My decision. I don't know him and he has no posts on this board prior to "I'll take it" on my post. To me the only shenagins here was asking me to send it to an address not on his paypal then asking me to send it to an address where he does not live. I don't take chances like that with that kind of money and with people I do not know at all especially how easy it is for a seller to got robbed now using paypal. If I get bad vibes, even a whiff that something isnt right, I'm out. And now in this sewing circle I'm even getting accused by know it alls of upping the price after the agreement was made. I've sold a lot of comics here and never had a problem. I've always accepted reasonable offers and everyone was happy every time. Most people would say OK no sale and move on. Its not like theres a shortage of WWBN 32's out there. So here is what's valid to me: My comic, my money, my risk. I made a decision. I returned the money. I was leary just selling to a person with no posts, then when the shipping address issue arose I decided not to proceed. Again my comic, my money, my risk, my decision. Nothing shady about that.
  11. Did I change the price on the post from 1700 to 1850 after we agreed on 1700? Yes or no please?
  12. Ok, Why don't you ask Jsdac if I changed the price from 1,700.00 to 1850.00 AFTER he posted I'll take it or if we agreed on the price 1,700 from an original asking price of 1,850.? Ask him here in public if thats what I did. Ok Detective. Ask him if that is what I did.
  13. I'm ending this now . I was NOT comfortable sending an expensive comic to an address in an apartment complex where YOU DON'T LIVE. Update your paypal shipping address to where you actually reside and maybe this won't happen again. I didn't sell you the comic. You got your money back 100% . Just deal with it.
  14. So the facts are that I changed the price on the post from 1700 to 1850 after the buyer said he'll take it for 1700? I then sold it to another person for 1850 and refunded the buyers 1700 immediately? I want it to be clear exactly what you are accusing me of. So is that it detective? Is that correct? Try to answer that directly please?
  15. What are you a weirdo? I told him and I told you why I refunded it. You really shouldn't be accusing people of dishonesty especially when you have no facts to back it up. And an assumption is not a fact. I didnt feel comfortable sending the comic to an address where he does not live in an apartment complex in a city. That was my decision.
  16. Well I'm glad you think that I'm shady. And that its so obvious I sold it for 1850.00. You sure know a lot of stuff. You should be one of those FBI profilers. Hey do you know this? Would you send a 1700 comic to an address where the buyer doesnt even live? Would any of you? These kids don't follow the rules? Maybe these kids should keep their actual shipping address up to date on paypal and maybe this kind of stuff wouldn't happen. I'm not going to send something to an address where he doesnt live. End of story. Hope I explained that thoroughly, or was it shady? Oh and this is an edit. The price on the post was 1850.00 the entire time I did not change the price. Do you understand that detective? Because he's new his post needed verification from a moderator before they were visible. I never changed the price. Maybe before you go accusiing people of dishonesty you should know what your talking about because in this case you are completely wrong.
  17. Just let it go and relax. You'll find another one.
  18. Ok lets air our dirty laundry in public. Yes I decided not to sell it to you and I refunded your money 100% the next day. What would you like to happen now? Would you like the police to come to my house and force me to sell a comic to you? I explained to you personally why I chose not to proceed with you on this. So now you feel the need to trash me in public? And no comicdonna nobody offered me more money. And now you're posting private messages on the board? Who's being unprofessional? Who's being immature about this? I was trying to be nice to you about it but now that you've done this, here is the main reason I decided not to sell to you: You wanted me to ship it to an address different than whats on your paypal account. And I explained why that can't be done in a very "professional" manner. This is a 1,700 dollar comic. I can't do that. I don't know you. Nobody would do that. This has to go to where you live so YOU can sign for it so paypal will release my funds and not screw me which they have been known to do many of us. I'm not selling this comic to you. That is my decision. I owe you nothing. You are out no money just a little of your time as am I. Let it go.
