  1. UNPUBLISHED MANCHE MOGENS PRALL (aka C.O.D., 1981) fully-finished but unused German movie poster painting, artist unknown. I bought this from a member of my Movie Art FB group for Euro 100 (about $123). Full write-up at: MANCHE MOGENS PRALL (1981) movie poster painting prototype, in Terry Doyle's 3. MOVIE POSTER paintings Comic Art Gallery Room (comicartfans.com)
  2. PUBLISHED THE PASSIONATE FRIENDS (1949), artist unknown, original movie poster painting based on a HG Wells novel. I was gifted this by a collector friend so it cost me nothing. CAF entry at: THE PASSIONATE FRIENDS (1949) movie poster painting, in Terry Doyle's 3. MOVIE POSTER paintings Comic Art Gallery Room (comicartfans.com)
  3. The ending certainly packs a powerful punch. I was actually watching it about a month ago and hadn't seen it since its original release. A timeless classic!
  4. Terrific episode written by Robert Towne, scriptwriter of the classic movie, Chinatown. I have a full-size Chameleon bust, which was made by someone else. I only started sculpting my own stuff to plug gaps in my collection of OUTER LIMITS aliens.
  5. I'm fine Hari, thanks, hope the same for you and yours
  6. No problem with that or what you're trying to do here, Hari, I was just addressing Scott's thoughts as to why the possible lack of enthusiasm by a wider audience on this thread. Terry Doyle
  7. Absolutely, and there's room for both. Could be that as this forum is an off-shoot of slabbed comics, it does lean towards values and 'A' level pages, etc . . . the same way desirable titles and their grades are of pivotal interest to the comic-book side here.
  8. For me, the thread is cold and clinical (not 'pretty solid'). I get why people want to obsess over values, and compartmentalize (A level, B level, etc), especially if you're actively buying and selling at high-end numbers and I'm not knocking it, but I enjoy looking at the art . . . and "I wonder how much this thing is worth?" is a lesser consideration.
  9. To all intents and purposes, my re-do of the Antheon from the OUTER LIMITS episode 'Counterweight' is complete. I've a few minor touch-ups to perform, but pretty much there. He stands about 15" tall, cast in latex and foam-filled with rigid-drying polyurethane. A screen-capture from the filmed episode along with a series of progression shots as follows. Sorry if you've see the earlier work-in-progress photos before . . . I just think it's a good idea to group everything together
  10. Well, if you published the original covers on the right hand side, you could call those pages, 'One Minute Before'
  11. I'll be consigning some comic-book artwork to auction next year. I've mostly been my own seller over the years but think nowadays collectors prefer the buzz of competing in an auction to get their fixes. I have a couple of 1965 UK serials I've been trying to put back together as a long-term project and I'm also looking for another four dailies from the Jeff Hawke serial, 'Survival' (UK science-fiction strip) Some links to what I'm looking for if, by the remotest of chance, anyone here has any examples to help plug the gaps for me: THE STEEL CLAW - Max Kruger (1965) - Terry Doyle's Original Comic Art Gallery at ComicArtFans.com 9. KELLY'S EYE - The Vampire of Raffino (1965) - Terry Doyle's Original Comic Art Gallery at ComicArtFans.com 7. JEFF HAWKE - 'Survival' (1960) - Terry Doyle's Original Comic Art Gallery at ComicArtFans.com Movie poster original paintings I have lots of and have been slowing down this year. I run a successful FB group on movie art where we regularly turn up artwork for sale at (usually) affordable prices. I tend to pick up some bargains along the way.
  12. The hairstyle's a bit of a mess, too. At first glance, I thought those dangly bits were
  13. Love all those Miller issues. I kind of get a Ditko vibe with the # 170 cover . . .
  14. Nice pages! Don't think I've read a Marvel or DC book in a long, long time.
  15. Some work-in-progress shots of my latest sculpture . . . a re-do of the Antheon from the OUTER LIMITS episode, "Counterweight' The plaster mold has now been made, ready to cast latex masks, which I'll commence Monday. Should stand about 15" tall when completed (foam-filled and painted). First photo is a screen-capture from the filmed episode, shown for comparison.
  16. That will look really cool when slabbed, lol!
  17. I got an empty envelope mailed to me from Steve: My Ditko letter story!, in Terry Doyle's 1. Steve Ditko Comic Art Gallery Room (comicartfans.com)
  18. Don't store toilet rolls or any other types of panic-buying* * FAO: conspiracy-theory-guy,
