    Shipping long boxes

    I have shipped a few long boxes and larger items. When I am trying to add extra protection I will tape on the lid as others have suggested as well as lid on bottom.  Then I will wrap box in 1 layer of bubble wrap and tape all edges.  Then use foam-board  ( usually around $1 a sheet ) and cut sides, top, bottom to size. Using water activated security tape "make" a box that fits exactly to the dimensions (each sheet will do 1 side and top) so this would require 3 sheets with some left over ) once built I come back with shipping tape to double the edges and corners. The reason I use foam-board is that it is lighter and stronger than most cardboard and when both it and the security tape are purchased in bulk it is cheaper , stronger , and lighter than the cardboard. Total weight for the foam-board box and bubble wrap is 14 oz. My last long box I shipped in this packing totaled just under 41 lbs. I will add pictures as well as shipping calculation from USPS from me in Florida to California for an example of rates . Remember if you ship media mail that there is a chance they open to inspect and comics no longer are  classified as media so it may either come to your buyer postage due or be returned and a letter stating what is media mail. Also I do not know if an insurance claim arises from a comic damaged shipped media will be covered. Although like other I have shipped it media with good success. Hope this helps.

    Well for the spine you need only colored duct tape , some white out and crayons, but that would get a conserved 10 Gem.. Truly One of a Kind ! Just remember  when  looking through  Ebay for items and believe "some" of these sellers grades , go ahead and  buy some lube for the futt bucking you will receive complimentary with VF+ ATM ASM.

    I have been tracking sales on these for a while now and the MOS 20 cheapest sold $29 highest was $220 both fell into the VF/NM average falling around $150. The AC 686 has been between $60 and $160 average  falling about $120 and the ADV 499 has been between  $32 and $155 average falling about $60 all of these prices are for raw. Only one of these has shown up graded 9.8 recently and the ADV 499 cgc 9.8 sold for just over $800 by offer on Ebay. However there hasn't been a whole lot of them to truly establish a real value and easily could sell for more or less.

    That's the same target pack. My first photo was two different  packs side by side, the second the backs.   The target 2 pack , and the different  comics super pack found in drugstores and small retailers. I have seen other target 2 packs , but none yet that contained the DCU other than this time and tide Aquaman.  Also noticed  that I didn't include a photo of the back to school pack.

    So far distribution seems to have cast a wide net on these. We saw above that they produced the 20 , 16 , 10 pack bricks that seem to have been distributed through the larger retailers ( Walmart, Costco,  Kmart , Sam's Club, etc.) 

    In edition the book stores, and toy stores carried 2 packs and collector sets. Which have come from Kay Bee Toys, Toys R Us , HPB , BAM 

    There have  also been found some 2 packs (only one DCU one bullet  logo) Target pack 

    The toy pack that contained  a DCU  and some of the multi out of print comic bags and back to school packs that were found in smaller retailers ( dollar general, Walgreens, eckards , five and dime, etc.

    I would call them, however if I am not mistaken they no longer grade them. The did originally for some of the older issues. ( Action Comics ) however now I believe they no longer accept them. I would definitely call. Let us know if you get a definitive  answer as I have a few I have considered.
