  1. Some UK pence price variant gap fillers I got cheap on ebay - A pile of rags, really, but the price was right...
  2. I might just do that. I can save on international shipping by getting stuff sent to my mom's house. I'll just have to wait until next autumn to get my hands on 'em. The Marvel UK 'Star Wars Weekly' put paid to any more pence price variants. Still thinking about it. The ones I have I seem to have acquired accidentally up to this point, so I don't feel the imperative yet. As you know, a collector never says never.
  3. Pence price variants only exist for 2-5 & they're fairly easy to pick up. So much so that I won't pay more than £5 for any single issue. Canadian price variants start at 64 & go through to 106. On reflection, those will probably be a bugger to get hold of from the UK.
  4. Yeah, I like a challenge! You're right about the pence copies; I have multiples of all of them. The 5 & 6 UPC reprints are a surprise, though. I managed to grab a fairly nice #6 in a small lot of other various issues & there is a nice #5 on ebay UK right now that I think I'll bid on. Going through my pile I've also noticed a fair few Mark Jewelers inserts as well. Don't know how serious I am about them though.
  5. I remember buying my 30c first print #1 from a spinner rack in a King Super grocery store in Littleton, Colorado. It went with the bulk of my collection when I sold up back in the 90's. I miss it, too. One of my Unattainable Collecting Goals is to have a full set of 1-107, including all printing variants. I'm about 20% there, so far. The 35 centers are going to be the chicken bone in the throat of that one. Just this morning paid for this ebay win - Less than £10, including shipping.
  6. Grabbed this from ebay UK last week - Don't know quite what to make of it. Color interiors, unlike most UK 'albums' (annuals). Stories possibly recycled from various Dell titles. Still, it was cheap.
  7. Speaking of Ghosty pences, or pencey Ghosts, if you will - And I deffo need a new phone.
  8. Thought I'd seen that before. tree-fiddy. Seriously, though, I'd be cautious. How much do you want to pay for what is effectively an expensive place-keeper. If you managed to bag it for two or three hundred quid, would you be able to unload it for at least that much later? Good luck if you do go for it.
  9. picked up a nice little lot on ebay Uk the other week - not great condition, overall, but cheap enough.
  10. picked up a nice little lot the other week - my first Treasury Edition, after many lost bids because I am a chintzy bugger.
  11. Did I find something? I think I saw this earlier in the thread, but I don't want to put my cupcake down to check.
  12. Ta Brenda. Very nice. I love these weird little outliers. Nice to have you back, btw. Hope it was nothing serious. chin chin & all that.
  13. I love 'em all, but Enrich's painted covers are waaay better than the drawn covers.
  14. Starting a run of this with issue 3 - Of course, I'll have to get the Spanish originals as well.
  15. Finally managed to bag a decent one of these for a reasonable price - Now, of course, I need the whole series. Aaand the original Spanish run...
  16. This is a little lot I won just before lockdown - Thanks to the seller for remembering to post it.
  17. Nice. Keep 'em coming. You could also post these in Marwood's thread. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/411880-marvel-uk-price-variants/?tab=comments#comment-9684956 He loves a
