This is the ONLY Batman book that I still have from when I got it as a kid. I remember I traded a kid in the block a few Archies for it. Beat to hell but mine since 1973. Got Neal Adams signature about 5 years ago, he said I should go buy a better copy.

I remember buying that book off the spinners myself, but alas my original copy has been long gone.  When I last saw it, the cover was detached, but I still read and re-read it.

I also got these. I’ve very pleased with the condition, they’re very nice NM copies...but they have just enough and the right kind of defects that I don’t think they would be worth submitting...which is a shame because a couple of them are very close.

I bought these off the rack back in the day.  As goofy as that show was, I loved it and these books were even better.  Great find.

Yes.  It is a gloriously violent and raw story.  Probably the most extreme story Howard ever written and my personal favorite.

Does anyone know why it hasn't been adapted ever since?  Tower of the Elephant and others have be redone over and over again, but Red Nails has only been done once and this Smith version has been reprinted to the point of ridiculousness.  As good as this original is, I'd like to see a refreshed take.

Snagged a 9.4 graded Giant Sized X-men 1.   As exited as i am about finding out that it wasn't pressed and what will/can happen after pressing, the question is, would you add a chris claremont sig to this?

I dont want to turn it into a debate of sig fans vs non sig fans...  I am strictly talking about the financial aspect of a long term investment.  I know he did nothing for the book but obviously he is as close to a mr x-men just like romita SR is mr. amazing spiderman.

    No.
