  1. I believe per the news, Florida has fully opened back up. Not that there was much closure.
  2. Thank you! I have an Avengers 57 that I picked up after the last signing to send this time.
  3. Love this topic and if we all had a crystal ball many of us would be retired by now answering this question for collectibles and the stock market. When I was younger and actively collecting comics, I luckily seemed to pick a lot of books that are now increasing heavily in value. When I got back in comics a few years ago, I had disposable income that I didn't have in my younger days and was able to start buying more of my childhood favorites, Marvel Silver Age 12c comics. Wish I had bought some more keys but happy with my current collection. Short answer that I have found is, you can gather information from this and other related boards out there, don't be disappointed if you miss a couple and some that you do purchase don't increase in value.
  4. Wow, just checked the last couple on Ebay and getting close to $3K. Hope some uplift for my 9.6 Miller Sig Series
  5. Beautiful. Mine is at CGC as we speak and waiting to see what I grade at.
  6. I just took a look at Go Collect for this one and will need to add it to the list of "selling off a few years ago" regrets. Never got it graded but bought new off the shelf and kept nice. I do still have Dark Horse Presents #24 so hopefully there is some trickle down in value.
  7. Personally I'm ok with high grade stabilizing as most of my keys are not above 8 or 9 range However, I believe the increase in prices of high grade keys have placed them out of the range of many and the increase in lower grade prices is due to what people can actually afford. My 181 is 6.5 and as I noted earlier in the thread, a few recents have sold for over $7K. That has been an incredible increase in just the past few months.
  8. Thank you, didn't see that and will use to check on some recent submissions heading to FL as we speak.
  9. I've gone back and forth on getting this one but have held off due to lack of shelf space. Still want it though. But to answer the topic, nothing in the range of others but about 10 years ago, I got back into comic collecting and went down to my mom's house and picked up longboxes from my collecting days in the 80's and 90's. I thankfully kept many that are blowing up today but some that I do regret selling now are: Raphael 1 (kept Turtles 2 and 3 that have graded 8.5 and 9.0 so would expect at least the same and Thor 337 and GI Joe #1 which I basically put in mylar after buying off the shelf and can only speculate what they would have graded. C'est la vie.
  10. Didn't really time it but well over an hour to submit 13 books. Last one before the price increase and had work going on my PC and the submission going on my monitor.
  11. Yes, just double checked and CCS charged me for pressing on Jan 7th and they finally moved to scheduled for grading today.
  12. Mine also - two submitted for Eastman signing and pressing now "Scheduled for grading"
  13. A couple of 6.5's have crossed the $7K barrier. Looking over even more lovingly at my 6.5
  14. This is me also. I have an affinity for 12c Marvel issues and tried to get as many as I could. That's tapered off now due to price increases but while not as large as some, I have runs of X-Men 1 - 143 (minus #4), Daredevil 2 - 54, Iron Man 1 - 15, Hulk 102 - 117 and a few other minors such as Nick Fury and bits and pieces of Fantastic Four, Avengers and Spider-man. Culling will be something I'll do in my retirement years.
  15. Personally I would also go for X-Men 4 only because I already have FF#4, FF#6 and FF#49 all of which are in CGC's hands for grading. Not high grades but even at low grade, these books are on the rise.
  16. Thanks to becoming more active in the threads here, I set up a Go Collect account and made a list with my CGC graded comics and have been tracking that. Just started and will do a monthly or bi-monthly check in also. This is just for me as I'm still in collector vs. seller mode but will eventually start to whittle down the collection.
  17. I just sent my Tales of Suspense 50 to get graded and estimate it to be 3 or 4ish. Of course it will be 6 months before I get it back and just imagine how much it will be worth then
  18. I submitted some earlier and initially got this message. Then tried again. Was a bit slow at first but then things submitted normally. Think there was a bit of a rush after the announcement of increased fees earlier today.
  19. Same for me. I have 1 - 143 and a few beyond that with only #4 breaking a perfect run. Not sure why I waited so long on that one.
  20. Time to join the rush and get some submissions in before the 28th.
  21. Watched the trailer and first wondered if I was watching an episode of Robot Chicken at first. Will watch.
  22. I didn't even think about the savings on shipping insurance involved. Very interested, can any of you provide the insurance company you use? I did ask my home insurance provider awhile ago and never followed up on it.
  23. Never knew about ashcans before. Thanks for posting.
  24. Yes, thanks Adamantium for the update.
