  1. If anyone here bought the ST 118 CGC 9.4 in Foolkillers sales thread and now has a decent under copy for sale please LMK. Mike
  2. I already had an 8.0 copy of this book, but I couldn't resist this one in the last CLink auction.
  3. Kudos to Dawgwindu, parlourguy and Norinn Radd for two great transactions. Mike
  4. Myself + esteemed board member turtleboy23/Andrew were bidding on the #73 + 76 + came up short. Those are strong prices, though they were the HGC of each book. The 107 has become white hot +the #108 NEVER shows up in HG so those were to be expected. The #117 went for like half what the last copy on Heritage went for, though that one was IMHO. THe #124,132 + 133 DID go for 2X FMV. ST's are blowin' up!! Good if you have them (thumbs u I bought my 9.4 copy of 132 for $400 about 3 or 4 years ago and thought I had overpaid. Now it has almost tripled. You are right about "Good if you have them." I'm glad I already have almost the whole run. Mike
  5. as requested..... Crippen sure had a lot of different books. Mike
  6. Awesome pre-135 ST results in the Comic Link auction: 73 CGC 8.5 - $1,660 76 CGC 9.0 - $1,877 107 CGC 8.5 - $981 108 CGC 9.2 - $1,555 117 CGC 9.4 - $1,166 124 CGC 9.4 - $1,000 132 CGC 9.4 - $1,100 133 CGC 9.4 - $1,050 I would say that most of these books have doubled in price in the last year. Mike
  7. Kudos to Point Five and shark2557 for some nice books. Mike

  9. Kudos to a few buyers and sellers: namisgr the humantirch Zipper68 thanos_oftitan nik
  10. Comic Supply ($300 of books) - Books arrived today. Almost a year to the day after I ordered them. mjacobs8 ($145 of books) - Won my dispute, no funds in his PayPal account so I am mess out of luck. Anyone who believes that PayPal offers buyer protection is nieve (like I was). Only your credit card company can give you any protection. Filter81 ($950 book) - Book arrived last week as already discussed. I guess that 2 of 3 ain't bad. Mike
  11. Kudos to the following for some good buys and some good sells: supapimp the_Greatest SNiPER gman joe_collector arexcrooke Rich_Henn Thanks! Mike
  12. This is what I was afraid of. I'll probably win mine too and get nothing for it. Mike
  13. Book received yesterday. I never had any doubt that I would get the book and I hope my posts here didn't come across as overly aggressive. I figured that if I posted someone who knew Adam would let him know about the missing package as he didn't seem to be checking PMs. Fortunately it worked and in the end it was only a minor mix up. Thanks for the book Adam! Mike
  14. Mike, ComicSupply stiffed me $26 last year which is a drop in the bucket comapred to your $300 I am trying tofind out where mjacobs8 is. I went by his house and he wasn't home. Tried to find out from the apartment management if he still lived there but they wouldn't divulge me any info As far as Adam goes, it's still under 30 days (close but still under) and he is at NYCC. Send him another PM (with a new topic) about it and I'm sure he will get back to you within the week There is still hope for Comic Supply as I have been e-mailing back and forth with Russ. He says the box was returned because I refused to pay the duty (I never saw it), but it is possible there was a shipping mistake. Supposedly it was shipped again on Friday and he will be sending me the tracking number. If that doesn't work out I am still hopeful to get a CC chargeback. I just sent Michael an e-mail to his PayPal address. Maybe he is reading those. Brad (Redhook) on the NOD boards told me he was able to contact Michael a while ago via telephone and got his books. If you have his number I would appreciate a PM. I am still confident Adam will get me the book. I just sent an e-mail to his PayPal address since he isn't reading PMs. Hopefully he will get back to me after the con. I also got his phone number off yellowpages.com so I'll call later in the week if the e-mail doesn't work. Mike UPDATE Comic Supply - Believe it or not, I got a USPS tracking number yesterday. mjacobs8 - This one may be a lost cause. Hopefully I'll get a PayPal refund. Filter81 - Received an e-mail from Adam and the book will be shipped soon. Things are looking up. Mike
  15. I'm not really worried that he has scammed me, but things can fall between the cracks. A little communication is all that I ask. Mike
  16. It means they froocked over so many buyers, that resolution is impossible to even do the accounting for. Wow, then Comicsupply definitely belongs on that list, I would think. Do I hear a second to the nomination? I think it's nuts to even have comicsupply on this list - we're not talking about board member to board member transactions here, we're talking about people who made a purchase on a commercial website (that has absolutely nothing to do with the CGC boards). What's next? Can I get Mile High Comics on the list because the only time I purchased from them they sent me a bunch of overgraded books & refused to give me a refund? Or the ebay seller that stiffed me for $25 last year? I bought $300 of still undelivered Marvel Masterworks from him in a sales thread right on this site. Mike

  18. Well, my problems with purchases on the boards continue. Comic Supply ($300 of books) - Waiting to hear back from my CC company on my request for a chargeback. mjacobs8 ($145 of books) - Had to file a dispute and escalate with PayPal. Now I have a new one! Filter81 ($950 book) - Paid Jan 10, exchanged PMs Jan 27 and he was going to look into it, no response to my PMs since then. I know that Adam had some books stolen and may be busy with that, but I'm still in limbo. I tried calling the number he left in the thread about the theft, but the voice mail was a girl and his name wasn't in the message so it may be a mistake. I'm going to try e-mailing him at his PayPal address, but if anyone knows him and could let him know I'm waiting for some contact I would appreciate it. Mike
  19. This thread had fallen to page 6 so I thought I would give it a boost. If anyone is interested, I have started a few Atlas threads in the Atomic Age section of the public NOD boards (www.networkofdisclosure.com). You have to sign up just like here, but you don't have to join NOD. There is a general Atlas thread like this one, a Joe Maneely appreciation thread, and another where I have been posting an Atlas story ever Friday afternoon for the last few months. It would be nice to give those threads a boost with some new Atlas fans over there if anyone would like to participate. Mike
  20. Up to $2,300 with 9 hours to go. More than twice the previous GPA high and 4 times the second highest sale. :o :o Mike Finished at $2,616 which is more than 7 times the 8.5. Mike

  22. What about this: http://www.comiclink.com/./auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fsearch%2Easp%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dstrange%2Btales%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item%5F774820&id=774820 Strange Tales 135, CGC 9.2 = $1,900 with 35 bids and still more than four days left in the auction. GPA high is $975 from December and the previous high is $600. There are only 5 sales ever over $400. Are white pages really worth that much? Mike
  23. I'm not sure mjacobs should be on the list yet. Maybe he is sick or the package had the wrong address. I'm just wondering if anyone knows him and can find out what is going on. Mike
  24. Mike, Russ's deals make no rhyme or reason. I too participated in his Marvel Masterworks sale back in February and bought 13 or 14 of them. I did receive mine on time with no hitch. That's what blows my mind. Why did I get mine and not Mike I should be more thankful that I did see my order filled. Really sorry to hear that Mike. He had some bags and boards on back order for me and said that he would ship everything together. I guess if I had asked to have the books shipped right away I might have received them. Needless to say I haven't received the bags and boards either. Everything seemed to fall apart later on in the year. Mike Some good news here. After several e-mails Russell contacted on Oct 31 and said he would send the books. This means that I should have received them mid-November, which was recent enough that I was able to launch a dispute with my credit card company (even though the payment was made last February). I'll keep my fingers crossed. Mike
