  1. Great copies! Yeah, that Target Western has eluded me so far. Well done!
  2. Thanks. I want to track down more of his pulps. I think this will make 5 that I'll own, but I have a line on a few more that I'll get to eventually. Many are older than his comic cover work too!
  3. Just snagged 2 more! 1 comic and 1 pulp! First up, this gem. Love the colors: Next up, this one that was in excellent shape. This dress is being held up by sheer will: Plus, I've been looking for something else from the author of "Problem Girl." (thumbs u
  4. Just grabbed these 2: And this one, which went for crazy $ last time it was for sale on ebay:
  5. Very true BB. That one with the border on the left border though (unless maybe green) provides a big border. The reasons I have so far picked MASK 1 and CAP AERO 26, other than the fact that they rock, is because the major background colors bleed into the shirt color. Also why ST 11, CAP FLIGHT 11, and CONTACT 12 would look good on red & black - respectively. Dayum... that BB is a killer cover tho... I'm considering it in the next round... Maybe this on a yellow T?
  6. Especially if it was based on that copy! Fantastic! I was thinking of a Contact 12 or a Captain Flight 11 (which over time still may happen) but since I had a Mask 1 which was also black I wanted to mix it up a bit so I went with a blue shirt. That's what made me thing of the ST 11, as then I'd have a RED one! I've got some time to figure it out. I won't be getting another shipment from my guy for a while. Maybe a Blue Bolt cover would work too....
  7. Hey Vaultkeeper - if you want I can put you in touch with my guy. He also made me a MASK #1 shirt. Hey BB - Not bad... maybe next time I order one up I'll come up with a few options and put up a poll! I accept all input! If anyone's interested in a T just send me a PM and I'll pass along info.
  8. A few updates, I got in that SHOCKING 50 and it's all it was cracked up to be. I didn't see any signs of resto. The pages are darker than I imagined for a book with colors that bright. I think it was likely stacked but un-bagged for a long period of time, and that's why the spine looks the way it does. And in other news, how do you like my new T-shirt? I know I don't own a copy of this one, but I hopefully will someday. Until then, this will have to do. I picked it because I figured the image would look good on a shirt. Maybe I'll do a Startling Terror Tales 11 next!
  9. Super fast payment! Hope to sell to again! Thanks a lot! - Jamie
  10. Oh cool - thanks! Creat copy BTW! Here's my copy's back cover scan. I think the colors on mine look a bit better, but my back cover is a bit dirty. I bet it's likely a 7.0 at best, but I'll take it.
  11. A lot of the cover proofs from LB Cole's estate sale are signed on the back. Nearly all of them actually. I scored a few when the sale first happened. From what I recall not many of the actual comics were signed. The cover proofs are great! They are HTF for most books, but if you get a good one the colors are often sharper than what was actually printed. Happy shopping!
  12. Grabbed this one last night, Shocking Mystery Cases # 50. Seller had this as a VF / 8.0:
  13. It's been a while since I grabbed any LB Cole books, so I picked up this one last night: No that's not a Cole cover, but he did interiors! Plus that is a killer cover. I also always liked MANHUNT #4 and hope to get one of them someday. I already have a #7. I also grabbed this one off the sales boards: Nice headlights. It was an elusive one for me that I needed to fill in a hole in the BB run.
  14. Yeah, but that's a nice pair to start with Adam! Hey guys - a friend of mine who is on the Alter Ego mailing list sent this to me so I thought I'd post it here. Here's a call for help from Roy Thomas: I know many of you guys have much nicer copies than I do (and scanners) so I thought maybe some of you would be willing to help Roy out. Or, at least pre-order AE #117!
  15. Thanks a lot! Now if I could just find that Cap'n Flight #9....
  16. Thankfully, I only have the 1 cat. He did remain good long enough for me to take that pic. But he would never do that. After all... his name is Kirby!
  17. I usually keep my posts in the LB Cole thread, but completing a 12-issue run from the 1940's deserves a cigar I think: And while I'm at it, tracking these 2 down took forever so I'll throw this in here as well.
  18. Don't I know it! And here's the whole set! I never thought I could complete a 12-issue run from the 1940's, but here it is: Maybe I'll upgrade the #3 and #10 someday a bit. I'm just happy to own a #12, so that one I'm ok with. I've already upgraded the #8 and still have my undercopy. Of course knowing me I'll still rather aim to complete runs first, and I've started so many. For example I recently finished this 2 issue run, of which I posted the covers individually in this thread over time but this is the first time they got together: BTW - Nice pickups guys! That Suspense #8 is amazing. I just lost out on a #4 over the weekend. I'll get one eventually....
  19. I totally love this cover! I've always love that Atomic logo, and I'm baffeled by WTF that machine is doing! Awesome pickup!
