  1. Spawn Origins Deluxe Vol. 6 was released within the last few days, for anyone else who's interested. I thought it was being pushed to September, as I was following a pre-sale on eBay and recently searched about the release date which said "September" on an Image page. I checked the app last night for some reason and the listing said "IN-HAND", so I pounced on it. Already made room on my bookshelf for it. :)

just like the dc aficionados forget b v s and justice league and would love a new cavill supe movie.  quid pro quo, clarice.

Most people liked BvS and ZSJL, though. So if you talk to people about DCEU, you're going to run into more people that want Cavill than not. I guess I would wonder why you were under the impression that it would be the opposite.

But, if you fail to see even a touch of irony that a movie made by women, marketed towards women, supported by women, a major plot point is the patriarchy, and the majority of the cast is woman that the early Oscar talk is about the male character, I can't help. It shows he did a great job, good for him.  It's not a knock against the movie just a funny observation.

I think it's unintentionally meta. The male eye candy was the hero all along.

many of us would like to see tobey play spidey again. but not with raimi, please. was doctor strange and the horror zone of terrible moviemaking not enough proof that he's not a good filmmaker??

To be fair, we can't be sure which creative choices were Raimi's. DS2 had a lot of studio interference, which is why Derrickson left the production.

That`s been one of the biggest problems with Marvel. Their CGI is just so bad now. I remember at one time Marvel movies had state-of-the-art CGI. Now mediocre at best.

Infinity War was peak MCU VFX. Professor Hulk in Endgame did not look as good as Thanos, and everything fell off a cliff after that. However, I don't recall many VFX problems with No Way Home. Seems to be a CBM exec problem. Marvel lacks conviction and strangles deadlines; DC either poorly-funds or simply rushes their developments post-Snyder (for the DCEU, specifically).

If they do more Watchmen - they had better get it right, as the bar has been set very high indeed.

They're doing a 2-part animated adaptation of the original series. Why? Couldn't fathom. IIRC, they'll both be about 90 mins. The live-action Director's Cut is that length. It would be pointless to faithfully adapt the graphic novel, because it in and of itself is perfect (and cannot be covered in 3 hours). What would be the point in adapting and changing it again in a medium that is inferior (for Watchmen, specifically) to both its source material and live-action? None, I say.

    Sorry, sure.

I was looking at both an ASM 300 grade 5.5 Signature series and an unsigned grade 8.0 Newsstand; and I was just wondering whether people valued the grade or the TM signature, and which people might choose if given the option. I prefer the signed version as I just enjoy collecting, and was wondering what others thought.

As a Signature Series guy myself, for the same price, I'd probably rather have an 8.0 of that issue. 2c

In general, will a clean in press have more benefit for a grade(s) bump in a higher grade book versus a lower grade book? Or does it depend on specific defects and if so which defects are bad candidates for a clean and press.

I'll assume a brittle book is a bad candidate for a clean and press.

    Thanks!

There are so many factors that I don't think generalities would be useful HG vs LG.

Yes, brittle books are bad candidates for pressing/cleaning.

Sorry, I miss wrote this. I was looking to clean and press this as an point besides just re-holder. Which would cause it to be re-graded. I have seen some horror stories though.

Ah, so you're asking for opinions on Re-Holder vs Press?

IMO this would not receive higher than an 8.0 if pressed/cleaned. I would advise to re-holder.
