Oppenheimer may be the most significant figure in applied sciences. There are 'more significant' figures overall, regarding religion and theoretical science, etc. I suppose the guy to supplant Oppenheimer will be the one who manages to accomplish nuclear fission as clean energy source. (Oppenheimer builds the largest man-made destroyer, the next guy builds the largest man-made creator.)

3.5, hopefully won't get any lower.

the story is over 2 centuries old, and beloved; why is it only now, in our time, that it's "backward" as described by dinklage? i'm going on record as saying the story is fine, it's certain segments of our snowflake society that is the problem.
The answer to most of your questions these days, is just 1 word: Postmodernism. People get bored and try to 'fix' things that aren't broken, which simply causes conflict. We don't have much real conflict anymore so people create their own problems instead.

I wouldn't trust YouTube videos.

Most easily-identifiable trimming I've seen in this sub.

For example, when I watch Legacy on Max in 2025, I won't be comparing it to Man of Steel; I will be criticizing it for its own individual shortcomings.

I don't think that Bosco - or anyone else here - is suggesting that the "Snyderverse" will return? Instead of making it about Gunn vs Snyder, why can't we simply criticize Gunn for his own, isolated words/actions?

Have you been around for the last decade? DC is already hurt.
Based on the enthusiasm of most (..ahem…..) DC fans, I would say Gunn is going to heal DC.
Which previous DCEU creatives pestered people on a regular basis?

I usually go to movies for escapism not to be emotionally challenged or devastated.
Possibly why I don't have any love for reality-based war TV/movies (other than Band of Brothers).

Since I don't really know anything about SAG/etc... Are all actors part of SAG?

Unfortunately, AI is better at writing then many of the current writers are. While I support people getting paid fairly, I do not like the mandates on how many writers must be hired based on number of episodes, and length of episodes. This artificially setting for writer's room sizes that is not based on quality ultimately damages the product. Looking back, most of my favorite shows and movies have smaller writers rooms, which seems to lead to a more focused, and usually high quality product.
Currently in a phase of "too many cooks in the kitchen". If you don't need a prep chef, don't hire a prep chef.

What a change.
That is not how a brand CEO acts on social media. Gunn being terminally online is going to hurt DC.

Not unlike athletes in that regard. The counter is, well, who should be getting the money? The corporations/owners? I think most people would say not.
I think that there's a lot of underappreciated creatives in the industry. VFX has been suffering because not enough time/money is invested in that process, for example. Justice League got rushed because executives wanted year-end bonuses; So those signing the checks clearly don't have their priorities straight with where the money goes.

Not intentionally. What about it makes the trailer any better?

Yeah, you're missing out.
Based on the trailer, I sincerely doubt it.

Eerie 1947 or bust.

Actors generally put in good work, so I'd 'support' that strike, though I think that the top earners really get too much (kudos to their agents, I guess).

I'm not bothered by the sleeved outfit.

PG should be a single page, NG for more than 1 page (coverless/etc).
