  1. The same thing could be said about any religion, I guess. I think of it, like... Obviously there are Force-sensitives who aren't super powerful like the Skywalkers. They need to 'train' to stay attached. People like Luke have an inherent connection that, while it can be ignored, they are never really completely 'cut off'. Am I right? Am I wrong? Idk.
  2. I think you're right. I think that the Infinity Gauntlet was designed to use the stones individually, or together, by finger movement/gesture. I also think that The Snap was required to activate all 6 stones. I think Tony simply programmed the Nano Gauntlet to act the same as the one forged on Nedavellir. I don't think that all 6 stones can be used without snapping, because the 6th stone isn't on a finger or thumb - it's on your hand.
  3. While The Last Jedi doesn't have a single full minute of good/great, the part which Luke basically blows up the room after seeing the connection between Ben and Rey, was great. Despite "turning himself off from the Force" he was able to demonstrate how powerful he was on the turn of a dime.
  4. Some people consider the topic "beaten to death" lol. You may be right on that.
  5. It's still an LQ photo, and images of raw comics will always appear better than pictures of slabs. Educated guess: Side-by-side, the raw and the encapsulated comics would look quite the same.
  6. Ragnarok: The entire pre-title scene with Surtur.
  7. The Winter Soldier: That stupid face-web-mask Romanoff uses to impersonate the Security Council leader. Edit: A regular makeup/mask type of combo stuff would have sufficed.
  8. Justice League: When Superman returns and beats the bunz off of Steppenwolf (and uses his freeze-breath).
  9. IMO it works, but it's definitely the weakest point of the film. They were just beating the carp out of each other. The problem is that it's a complex moment that many casual moviegoers just don't understand. Add to the fact that the Theatrical Cut just doesn't build up enough to that point... It's a gray area because of the 2 different cuts. I still remember my initial reaction in theaters wasn't good. It makes much more sense in the UE and I think it would be more well-received if Worlds of DC didn't handcuff its directors.
  10. Only ever had 1 bad yard sale experience (that I can remember). Guy offered me $10 for an entire book of Yu-Gi-Oh cards that, at the time, were worth thousands. I had to tell him to leave at some point (he was acting like a pr!ck).
  11. Endgame: When Thor is having a personal, emotional moment, and Rhodey ruins it with an awful quip. "Cheez Whiz" might be the worst 'joke' of the Infinity Saga.
  12. Captain Marvel: Twist of the Kree being persecutors and the Skrulls victim.
  13. @Turtle dare we open the endless can of worms that is the Star Wars franchise in these threads?
  14. I personally can't consider Iron Man 2 "bad" because of many reasons unrelated to the generic villain. His suit(s), his relationship with pepper, Black Widow, Nick Fury and his father content, building on his character, War Machine, etc etc etc. I know a decent amount of people consider it "bad", but that sequence where Iron Man and War Machine take on the drones gives me a freaking hard-on every time.
  15. I think I gave it a D+ when I did my pre-Endgame marathon. It's funny, but I think it's a generally awful MCU film. To me, as a standalone comedy, it doesn't work (because it's a sequel and within an expansive CU). So, within the context of the MCU, it's just not any good.
  16. My IT team has full control of all updates, so I wasn't even gonna bother. Intranet, Teamcenter, etc. Java updates can mess it all up.
  17. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has a lot of good content. Mostly those that brought some seriousness and Saga continuity. The, "...I just wanted a sister" scene, for example.
  18. Firefox: Check. Java: Update available. That may be the problem.
  19. Contrary to somewhat "popular" belief, the Martha scene in Dawn of Justice is one of its very few weaknesses, and it doesn't make for an overall bad movie (the Theatrical Cut itself is weak, but the actual movie is awesome). I understand the premise and execution, but it being the encompassing reason behind their resolution is still a very large weak spot.
  20. I'm also not getting notifications of reactions to my posts anymore. Maybe the mods have taken action on those who no longer desire feigned confusion...
