  1. Sorry not sorry - I can't grade a comic book based on seeing 1 corner.
  2. I'll do my best to avoid punishment via mod: Daisy Ridley was born with a physical attribute beyond her choosing. Certain groups of people believe that - by default - she is privileged. She probably worked her off to be successful (based on Abrams comments from VII - I think that's true). She doesn't think she's privileged because of her work ethic. Some people attribute born physical appearance + success = "privilege"; despite many people earning their success. It's stupid and I have no idea how any site could misconstrue it as "news".
  3. I lied. I forgot to buy a wacky card for the package. Will be doing that on the way home this afternoon. Ship it out tomorrow.
  4. You're mean for calling us "mean"! It's the CGC way... We only lightly haze, because, how often to we get drive-by posters looking to make a million dollars by entering the collectible selling business with no prior experience or interest in the hobby?
  5. No, there isn't. Grades are subjective approximate condition numbers. They ultimately mean nothing other than, "it appears to be XX% original manufactured condition". The number that CGC gives a book is ultimately of no value. The only thing that it "means" is that CGC think it's in a certain condition. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Anyone is free to disagree with any grade CGC assigns a book. There's nothing wrong with that. There's also nothing wrong with agreeing with every CGC grade.
  6. Have you seen one that has been? Why would you suggest that this has been cracked-and-resealed never having seen an example? It would be evident if this case has been tampered with. There is no such thing as a "bad grade". Having said that, I personally don't think that this is a 9.8 comic book. I wouldn't buy it at a 9.8 price, and I wouldn't buy it if I was hellbent on having a 9.8 comic book.
  7. Are you insinuating that someone has a 5-figure sonic-welding bench that they're using to re-seal CGC cases after cracking and switching comics? What are they using to crack the tamper-evident cases without leaving evidence...?
