  1. You literally answered your own question: "The Red Goblin was Norman Osborn as Green Goblin using the Carnage symbiote. When the Carnage symbiote was bonded to Norman Osborn, it got mixed with the Goblin Formula, making it stronger and purging its weaknesses. Normie Harold Osborn, Norman’s grandson, became the second Red Goblin when he bonded with Carnage and became known as the Goblin Child."
  2. I mean - I don't currently own any books with tape. Also, I don't tape any of my bags closed (I prefer the PSA-seal - I'm too careful to somehow get a comic accidentally snagged on it). I've never bought a pre-Copper Age book. Maybe things would change if I wasn't into moderns. I grew up in the Modern Age - so that's what I collect. I would never buy a Modern with tape, though, that's for sure.
  3. I hope it's dark. The Joker is just one of those villains, especially ever since The Dark Knight, that you can empathize with. "All it takes is one bad day." That's what's great about Batman's villains - being mostly human - that makes his franchise super valuable. It's easier to make human villains compelling. I don't want a rehash of Ledger's Joker. Something more dramatic maybe. Not an Agent of Chaos. Maybe someone more cold and calculated. Idk. I just want it to be good. Worlds of DC films seem to be... Heads or tails...
  4. I personally liked X-Men Vol 2, X-Men Unlimited, and X-Man. I was 12-13 when I started them. Has he seen any of the animated cartoon shows? I would say to figure out what characters he likes from them and go from there. One of my best friends has a 1-year old and he's been feeding him Teen Titans Go and stuff. I told him the same. When he gets into middle school and you wanna see if he'll read 'em - start from the characters he already likes. If not, well, that advice is useless.
  5. Feige reiterated, recently, that Endgame is really about the Original 6. Captain Marvel isn't just going to show up and steal the show (thankfully). Marvel doesn't always get everything right, and neither do the Russo Bros (Civil War isn't a great movie IMO), but after seeing Infinity War... After all of that hype... And not even thinking how it could live up to it... And then blew that hype out of the water... They have a lot of good will - but now even more hype. I don't know how they're gonna pull it off. If they stick mainly to the guys that lived through the Battle of NY, through Tony's Ultron experiment to help defend mankind, etc. That's the way to go. They're the one's that started it all and have the most attachment.
  6. It's been 3 hours for almost a year, now. The Russo Bros don't think they can cut any more without sacrificing storytelling. If only a competing studio would take notes...
  7. You're adding to the hype. Now he's gonna, "sell for 15 times the price!"
  8. A CGC 4.0 sold for $700 2 weeks ago. He may have overpaid, but he didn't for sure overpay. I gauged my response based on current listings rather than sold listings. CGC could grade it higher than 4.0 - and in that case - I don't see any money "lost".
  9. The question is... Will he ever read a comic book..? Can he even read? Stay tuned...
  10. Oh man, I just did so many air karate moves. I wanna go down there and unload some vigilante justice on this piece of work... So glad he got caught.
  11. Define "smart". I was a "smart" 10-year old. I read Garfield & Calvin and Hobbes... I started reading 90's X-Men in middle school.
  12. Are we talking any kind of tape? Archival tape doesn't merit a lower grade, right? I'd be okay with owning some pre-moderns with archival tape on the insides of the cover(s). Maybe even regular tape. If buying a slabbed book - I'd be fine with tape that is holding the cover(s) together and also isn't visible from the case. Tape doesn't really matter on a reader, to me. I wouldn't buy a raw 'collection copy' with non-archival tape.
