  1. If Thanos was a female, instead, there would be no subjective reason to dislike her according to some people's delusions...
  2. All Mary Sues are boring. Rey. Vision. Scarlet Witch. Etc. Notice how one of these characters is not like the other. Byproducts of McGuffins are almost equally as boring. That doesn't fit your strawman argument, though. Captain Marvel just doesn't work. Shazam! looks like it does, though. The real Captain Marvel.
  3. You're the only one that cares about her gender. Most of us are using subjectivity to form valid opinions. You keep arguing about BS. The bias of the delusional CGU. One of a kind.
  4. Thanos uses the Power Stone in 2 occasions in the opening scene: When he threatens to kill Thor. When he destroys the ship and leaves. At no other point before the title card is the Power Stone used. He beat Hulk with brute strength - not an Infinity Stone.
  5. Spider-Man's powers are explained through storytelling. Captain Marvel's aren't. No one cares about gender except you.
  6. I only buy moderns fresh off the shelf and send them in ASAP. It's hard to do with all the waviness in Marvel books, though...
  7. I haven't been an Admin for an Invision board in a loooooooooong time, but, yeah...
  8. Thanos did not use the Power Stone in his bout with the Hulk. The directors literally showed you how he activates the Stones throughout the entire movie. He didn't use it in the opening scene.
  9. That's what was said in the movie... Intentionally... By Marvel Studios... So asking, "how can he beat the Hulk without using any stones?" Well, Marvel told us.
  10. That, and he navigated space to blow up that federation ship pretty easily. He's not full Gary Sue IMO, but I definitely wouldn't argue that he's not a Gary Sue.
  11. Anakin didn't use the force prior to his training, correct? I don't recall him using the force in The Phantom Menace. He probably is a Gary Sue, though. No wonder everyone hates that .
  12. I started off thinking the stain was "one moderate defect", but it also affect the last page, etc. I'm a decent grader, but I don't do well with stains at all. I try to avoid grading 'em, but thought I'd give this a shot. Thanks for the chuckles.
  13. Don't laugh at my post just because I don't know jack-%^&*.
  14. I enjoy your post, but the bolded is very wrong. I didn't let the political undertone(s) affect my opinion on the film, but they definitely are there. If you didn't notice them, good. Garfield and Calvin & Hobbes were my first "comic" loves as a kid.
  15. I take it you don't watch the movies... Cap was shot and ___-whooped by The Winter Soldier multiple times. Tony Stark got a black even and a broken(?) arm in Civil War (on top of almost dying 3+ times). Banner had a bruised cheek and lost a tooth in the first 2 Avengers movies... As mentioned, Romanoff was shot by The Winter Soldier. There have been physical repercussions. Quicksilver died. Did you watch Infinity War? Never mind. Idc.
  16. I do this on high-priced purchases, but I usually throw a number out there. And I only do it to see how much I'll have to save up, if the item remains available in the near-future.
  17. This is the most disturbing thing that I've read this year. Well, aside from the delusions posted in this thread.
  18. When was the latest "super key" released? I'm talking first appearance of a major character. Spawn #1 in 1992? Are there other released later? Creativity these days is spread thin. That's why CBMs are so popular. They draw from other source material. Most other movies are reboots. I find it unlikely that a "grail" type key is printed anytime soon.
