  1. So... You think that fighting stupidity means that there's something "wrong" with someone..? Why do people belittle intelligence as opposed to aspiring to it..?
  2. They were intentionally rhetorical to avoid the potential warning for inflammatory attempted "insults". If he makes those accusations as statements, then it's against the rules, but if he asks them as questions, well, he's "inquiring". His allegation of me being "dickish" is entirely inferred and opinionated. The site has enough 1-post members with dreck topics. Giving me the ultimatum of answering a stupid question vs "shutting my trap" is just amateur hour. I will not be silenced in my desire to rid life and the internet of counterintelligence! "What's wrong with me?", while being presented as a question, is rhetoric by the fact that there isn't anything wrong with me. Just a circumvention of previous noted board rules regarding inflammatory posts.
  3. Family fun without the family drama. Holidays have been especially great since my "aunt"* moved to FL. She's a racist POS and nobody misses her other than my grandmother (unfortunately). *Biological aunt. Not family to me. Holidays can be especially emotionally draining. Having stress-free get-togethers is so important to me nowadays. As a kid, it was fun to b%^&* about, but it's annoying to just complain about a person for hours after they leave as a close-to-30's adult.
  4. The spelling, grammar, and punctuation in this thread is giving me a headache. "Holy jumpin'", as Darren Pang would say. It's a 7.0 and it's not a "turd".
  5. Since you're not a man of your word... Blocked.
  6. Ironic coming from the person throwing around terms like that. Deservedly reported.
  7. You can't tell me what to do, you're not my dad. I will manage my time as I see fit.
  8. You could. I don't see how that's helpful in this situation.
  9. Won't CGC tell the consumer if a manufacturing defect does not affect grading..? This isn't "grading advice"... It's asking for their grading standard regarding this issue...
  10. Definitely, I think. I don't think that the recent degree of inflation is sustainable, though. An SA book that Lee was involved in, and signed, has always had some phenomenal financial value. As those books, and now his sig, continue to dwindle in market availability their values will continue to rise.
  11. I was slightly disappointed in Man of Steel Vol.2 for a 6-issue limited run. It's a decent prelude to the current run of Superman, though. This volume has me seriously hooked 5 issues in. The artwork, dialogue, and story is all captivating in each book. I'm finding it difficult to keep interest page-to-page on most current titles, but Superman is seamlessly interesting. Huge kudos to the creative team that's been involved. I did buy the new X-Men #1 on Wednesday, as well as ASM #1 & #2. Planning on reading those this weekend. Those are huge titles so I'm hoping they're in the same league as some of DC's 2016+ reboots (Green Lantern #1 is just okay).
  12. Idk. I was pooping, and on FB, when I read about Stan's passing. I had already posted, "Being paid $15 to take a ." Editing the post to pay tribute to his passing made sense at the time.* *None of this is true.
  13. I would contact CGC directly and ask them. It is true that, if a defect is common among an issue, that they don't consider it a "defect" because of typical manufacturing condition.
  14. If you sell the car to up your bid, your tagline will change.
  15. Neither the teacher nor the assignment exist. or The OP both follows directions and communicates poorly.
  16. It's dumb no matter how you spin it. Edit: I love how you insinuate that I didn't read the OP, and attempt to use it as an attack, instead of being a polite and proper human being. It's not high school anymore, dude. At least not for me.
  17. I don't expect that a seller is netting a loss when I buy a Modern SS book for $100+. Doesn't add up for me. They're making at least a few bucks at that price.
  18. It's not the subject of Stan Lee that serves no purpose; it's the premise of the "assignment". No teacher asks or demands that you tell stories of a person that you don't know, in which the information cannot be publicly available...
  19. I will be no help for financial value. I can barely, extremely amateurishly, grade.
