  1. Assuming this isn't another drive-by post... There are too many variables to provide an easy answer. Your best bet is to do your own research. We have no idea if you have any key issues, what condition they're in, etc. 1974-1980 doesn't make me think that there will be much worth getting slabbed.
  2. I'm in my late 20's. I consider a "big purchase" something $500+. However, I probably have more disposable income than most people my age. A couple of years ago I would have considered a "big purchase" anything $200+.
  3. Opeth, one of my favorite bands, releases vinyl records for all of their albums (during release or collector's editions). I almost bought their first-10 album set that they released in all-white vinyl. I don't have a record player, but they would be cool to have...
  4. I collect almost exclusively SS books. No doubts from me that there are more serious collectors who are also in the SS game (with more expendable income too).
  5. I'll be picking something(s) up on Saturday. Check out some local shops (order online if necessary).
  6. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Someone burn this place to the ground...
  7. If I buy books that are currently "yours", they would then be "mine", and at that point why would you care..? Right now all of my books are in boxes, because I've been moving s^&* around, but I also plan on moving in July. Truth is, I only buy 9.9s/10.0s in Blue Label. SS books are the only reason to buy a non-mint book IMO (Moderns, at least). I see the obvious appeal to encapsulated Golden/Silver Keys, also (preservation and display appeal).
  8. I don't personally slab books. I let the experts like CGC handle that. I only buy encapsulated books of issues that I don't want to retain the smell of farts when I'm cropdusting my apartment.
  9. Different tastes, indeed. IMO Civil War is only better than GotG 2 (well, we agree that this one was a poor sequel). I hate the first 5 minutes of Ragnarok. Otherwise a solid-A film. Homecoming is phenomenal. I suppose I just like the title character of Doctor Strange more.
  10. Gotcha. I confused myself and thought you realized it was a one-off before you submitted an offer.
  11. Create another eBay account! I have 2 (one that I've only used a couple of times) because I maxed out my offers on a big lot of playing cards a couple years ago (seller declined all 3). I guess, in instances like this, that backup could come in handy.
  12. Wouldn't you be able to use it in a single cart with multiple items from different sellers? Like after the offer is accepted and in your cart, add a BIN item, and take the 15% off your total? I haven't bought from multiple sellers at the same time in awhile, so Idk if they nixed that?
  13. Say whaaaaaaaaaat? The Doc is one of the best films of Phase 3 IMO (behind Infinity War and maybe Ragnarok - so far). Your opinion makes sense after all that Aquaman's reputation has endured for decades...
  14. I feel like this looks a lot better than a 6.0, but that grade is what I'm feelin'. It's in great shape.
  15. Damn. If I was a little more frugal this month, I could've saved close to $100, on a Modern Key I've had my eye on for awhile... Drat!
  16. Oh, technique? I was thinking For Throwing Poo vs Against Throwing Poo. I'm all for it. I find a 'curve ball' technique can really throw someone aloof and off-balance, both physically and psychologically.
