ASM 31-33 Is by far the best. Try 142-151! -

Initial goal was wolverine trilogy 9.8-9.6 was done awhile back after finally finding a 182 in WP which was elusive. Was looking for an ASM 55 9.8 for years before finding it in 2017. Just found #70 9.6 in which I was searching for several years. I thought I'd never find it in a good wrap + WP but the stars were aligned that day! Next is X-Men GSXM to #100, 6 out of the 8 in 9.8 other two in 9.6. I have 94 & 95 to go. Only a matter of time. I'll post my best group shot when it happens. Will be glorious! After that or possibly before I'd be interested to do a favorite artist first ASM trilogy. ASM 39 (Romita) ASM 89 (Kane) ASM 125 (Andru which is best one imo) in 9.6-9.8. Only one I have left is #39 which I hope to find in 9.6 at some point. Will post group shot. I love this hobby!!! The 89 is being reholdered... -
Incredible Hulk #181 - is it *that* red-hot?
MGsimba77 replied to Getoutandstayout's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Fair enough. I'd still wanna see some higher quality pictures of the 9.6 to be sure though. The lighting really sucks. I wonder if CGC would factor yellowing on the cover when grading? I know they do it for tanning & fading but don't know about yellowing Sweet 181 you have -

Well the description says never pressed. I'm not sure it would have that spray if it was pressed? Besides I don't know that too many people would be bothered if it were but who knows? I don't really see any yellowing on the front cover. The description says back cover is bright & said poor lighting caused shadowing so not entirely sure it's actually yellowing there? I know I would have sent questions about it had I been bidding that's for sure! The bidder may have concluded they weren't bothered with the blue spray. So many of them seem to be miswrapped or have the "marvel comics group" banner misaligned that they may have decided the wrap with white pages was worth it. The definition of "Eye appeal" could be tricky to pin down -

My submission got there March 25th was received on April 1st under standard tier. One (3 books) crossover pressing regrade, other (1 book) just crossover regrade. They were received checked in a full month ago & they still don't know how much longer it'll be! I'll assume the ones in pressing will be there forever at this rate! This is absurd ! Do they get this massively backed up every time there's a convention like Chicago con not too long ago???

ASM 121 - Why does CGC label Gwen Stacy's death in quotes?
MGsimba77 replied to SBRobin's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Yeah that sounds about right. They should've considered a variation of the goblin for Harry in #136. Maybe a few more copies would have been sold? The post above this one is right. They use quotes because there's always possibility of resurrections -

Incredible Hulk #181 - is it *that* red-hot?
MGsimba77 replied to Getoutandstayout's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Well I'd say the eBay one had better eye appeal & white pages but I know how you feel about pages I'm not sure if those qualities were the catalyst for the number here since others with great centering (though not white pages) ended in disappointing final bids on eBay. Overall the market here has been all over the place with well centered copies selling lowish on eBay while other less eye appeal copies going higher elsewhere. One thing I've noticed is the white page well centered copies have sold on the higher side everywhere. I know you disagree but maybe just maybe the PQ had something to do with this particular auction result? Food for thought -

All according to GPA...The 250 for the 7.5 Wein seems in line & probably increased in value today. Last GPA was 220 in June 2017. The 9.0 has zig zagged up & down so much it's tough to pin point but it's been clearly trending up past 200 in past year. Can't find double cover for 6.5 Trimpe but the regular SS Trimpe hadn't sold in years & its never been near 250 so I have no idea what your double cover stands today??? -

181 has been up & down on high grades recently...180 has been increasing steadily in HG while 182 has been increasing a little more rapidly in HG. I don't know about mid grades for 180. I don't think too many people would even care for a mid grade 182 -

MGsimba77 replied to HeroX's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Congratulations! Did you just get this or did you already have it? I have a 9.8 as well so I like to keep up with market trend. At the moment I've seen it anywhere between high 10k's & low 13k's depending as usual on PQ & eye appeal etc. The ones I've seen sold on comiclink are on the higher side regardless of what it looked like -

Just WOW! They do exist. I guess if it's a mid grade could be the equivalent of flushing 6 figures down the toilet -

I'd feel much worse about it if not for the right corner being cut out. Who's the signature on the top & bottom near spidey's foot? -

Never thought this would surpass 600 ! The auctioneer had a good night... http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH.ASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3DAmazing%2BSpider%2DMan%2B%2370%26ItemType%3DCB%26CGC%3DYES%26CBCS%3DYES%23Item_1314987&id=1314987&itemType=0 Edit: it went for 700 for those that can't sign in to c-link -
He should have included the white spider symbol on the back of the black costume sketch for the 189. Don't know what to make of it other than it looks weird. A sketch is supposed to enhance the visual appeal of a book not alter it this dramatically!

Wow that's a dilemma most here wouldn't mind having. If the 252 & 300 are above 9.4 you may not have to flip the 129 if you're willing to spend some extra out of pocket. Anyways if I was after a 101 I'd wait till well after the movie which is in June or July I think
