  1. Thanks point five. Do you have a favorite LCS in NYC? Was there in September, great city.
  2. Toss up a couple of my earlier issues. One of the best silver covers, there's no doubt that the Thing and the Hulk are about to go toe to toe. Who wouldn't want to read this book after seeing the cover. One of my first books under #30, loved the story, the Watcher-radical.
  3. Makes me wanna cry, what a nice page and it's not mine. Kirby is a genius and that page is an amazing example of the way he can infuse energy to a 2 dimensional piece of paper. I especially like the bottom panel, classic.
  4. Never see these, how long did it take to finish this awesome minirun?
  5. I care that they are Mile High copies, very pretty. (thumbs u
  6. Great story and art, what was the grade, looks pretty sweet. It was listed as a 7.0 Makes a nice addition to my FF#20-60 run. Can't go wrong picking this stuff up, congrats.

  8. Was in New York in September. Never even thought about a comicon. What a great city tho. Went to Metropolis Comics for a visit, great stuff.
  9. thanks piper, I may very well go, doesn't look like any big dealers but I may very well find some nice comics to pick up.
  10. This cover doesn't seem to get a lot of love but its pretty lovable to me. Kinda a crouch cam of the team tho.
  11. How many artists could stay on a book that long and still dazzle. Let alone how many artists could stay in the industry and get better and better. Nice book.
  12. The 8.5 GR FF 45 that Brad outbid me on eBAY a couple years ago had the stamp in the same spot. That and the lack of tanning and the puffiness of the spine make it a prime candidate for a GREEN RIVER.....GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u p.s. The Green River collection was introduced in the early 90's by John Hauser. If you check out the link a couple posts back you will see the same issue with date stamp in the exact same spot. I think my copy really is a Green River. Neato.
  13. I haven't bought a comic from a Edmonton LCS in years. I still support my LCS, mostly Wizards but usually during there 50% Boxing Day sale. Picked up a slew of high grade bronze Xmen and Daredevil during the last few sales. I used to stop by their store on 109th, on a fairly regular basis. They have pretty good selection but to be honest, I have more selection and better pricing shopping here. I pick up my moderns from Happy Harbor on 124th. Are you going to the Calgary con next weekend? Yes Wizards is where I have my file. They have a reasonable selection and try to bring in new back issues. Some of it is reasonable priced some is not. They had Amazing Spider #9, 14 and 20 that I wanted last fall. The mid grade 9 and 14 were way over guide and I had to pass. The 20, the nicest of the bunch was about guide and I grabbed it. I didn't know about the Calgary show. Tell me more, I may be able to swing it.

  15. Not sure. Think I picked up 45,44 and a couple more as upgrades at the same time. #45 certainly wasn't advertised as a Green River when i bought it.
  16. Did a little research, this link contains a number of Green River books incuding a FF45 that looks identical to mine, especially the date stamp. Great eye Namisgr. http://www.corpcity.com/CGC/
  17. Think I picked this up about 15 years ago from a dealer in the states. When did the Green River collection come to market?
