  1. Have you done the math? You have a book that sells raw for $25-$40. Is it an efficient use of your capital and time to tie it up for six months and spend $50 to get a book that will sell for under $100? h
  2. If we are to take our legends seriously, B&B 28 directly influenced Martin Goodman and Stan to create the Fantastic Four, so it might be the most influential book ever. Daredevil is a minor key, If it weren't for the turtles Matt was carrying, his story would have long been forgotten.
  3. It's amazing how dumb and dishonest he got after leaving everyone's favorite company.
  4. I would. Gutless, cowardly, bate, insane. As Danny Q. once remarked- how sad it is to lose ones mind.
  5. Says the gutless shill who has been here ,in his current incarnaton, for a whole 16 hours. If you must mock someone, try looking in a mirror.
  6. The bar on the border doesn't allow indoor photography. I think they only ban flash photography but I was yelled at and chastised after my first time in there when I tried to take a photo.
  7. In the days before the US entered World War 1, this section of Arizona and New Mexico was overrun by both American and Mexican outlaws who used the border to great benefit. In 1916, the US Army deployed the 9th US Calvary to the area, and Troop K was assigned to a campground about five miles from my house. They were deployed for about ten years and built up an stockade just north of the border. The barracks and stables were abandoned sometime in the 1930s and today they sit in ruins. I was down at the bar on the border and looking at the historic photos of the soldiers being deployed,( the bar was the tallest point in town so two maxim machine guns were installed on the roof), when I noticed something I'd never picked up before. There, staring me in the face, was a photo of a bunch of Buffalo Soldiers with their white commanding officer. That officer was Major Malcolm Nicholson Wheeler, the man who created the comic book as we know it and who founded the company we call DC.
  8. So all aliens look alike to you? That's vaguely racists
  9. They may. However, they also may not. There is also a possibility that one of them will go up and the other does not. We no longer give out the lottery results in advance.
  10. I've no idea why a company does what it does. If ebay has a side deal with the PO that allows it, that still doesn't mean anyone can do so. If such a side deal actually exists.
  11. The PO issued a statement that comic books are not eligible for media mail. It doesn't say comic books with ads, it doesn't say comic books without ads, it says comic books.
  12. I'd wait and do some more hunting. If you are only going to have one WW2 Cap in your collection, you can do better.
  13. I've recently been buying some US currency that is in Pesos. It's not at all rare but it's a kool curiosity . I find it strange that while the US issued money in pesos, the Japanese Occupying Government was issuing similar currency in dollars.
  14. Really? What part of "comic books are not eligible for media mail" would they be in compliance with? A dog does not contain advertising. Does that make it eligible for media mail?
  15. What with the recent revelation that the Post Office is monitoring peoples social posts, this might be a great time to commend them on the great job they do and publicly denounce using media mail except as intended.
  16. My friend owned a deli on Long Island. He goes to open up one Sunday morning and the police are outside his shop. The bar two doors down had been broken into. A couple hours later, someone he described as being very skeevy comes in and tries to buy beer but it's too early. The guy buys something else and pays for it with a bunch of singles. All of them are good luck notes signed to the bar owner across the street, including one he had signed himself. He tries to detain the guy but he runs away. He chases him down the street and a bunch of volunteer fireman grab him.
  17. Seems like Chuckles wasn't as bate as we thought.
  18. Now is a great time to sell. It may not be a good time to send your books out to be graded as the market may be cooler by then. You don't need to have your books graded in order to sell them and there is no guarantee that laying out $2,000 and waiting six months will get you more than selling them raw now.
  19. In that case, I give it my highest grade, which is 9.2+ CGC gives higher grades, I don't. Very nice book
  20. what is that little circle halfway between the knife and the lower corner? Other than that, it looks nice.
  21. Unless the person you leave it to is a comic fan, all they will care about is what is is worth. Do you make your investments based on what the person who inherits it will think about it? If so, you are doing it wrong. In stocks, I buy blue chips. Same with comics. If you don't think Wolverine 1 is a blue chip, we obviously see things very differently.
