Last night, I dug out four boxes of TPBs I want to get rid of. Am all set and log on to MCS to see which ones they are buying, and get timed out. I feel bad for the auction folk but I'm sure MCs will get it right.

I was told they can't accept a gift valued at more than $20-25 dollars and no cash. I think multiple gifts spread over several days might work if one were so inclined.

I had the worlds bestest mailman when I lived on Long Island. A bit of a gossip but he went out of the way to help many people. One year, after a heavy snow, he came back and shoveled the driveway of the old lady across the street. One morning, I see his mail truck pull up very early for him. I open the door and he has a very special delivery. He had found my dog wandering over a mile away and I didn't even know he was missing. He stopped his route to bring my dog home.

Did you really? What parts did you like? Selena turning her back on her only child just to get some gay hating preacher to back her? Her turning Tibet back to China to keep the Chinese from exposing her secret? Her banning gay marriage? Her abandoning everything she kind of stood for just to get back into power. What she did to Gary? For a comedy, a hilarious comedy at that, to end on such a dark note sucked. Obviously, you disagree. What did you like about it? This whole season was pretty bad. The abortion episode crossed quite a few lines, including that of good taste.

I'm not sure if this last episode of Veep is the final, but seeing how she is dead, I'm guessing it was. The last five minutes was Seinfeld bad. Never seen Dexter.

What am I missing? Mercenary Captain is on a white hose with bangs. Dragon flies by and wipes out the mercs. We see a picture of the horse, seemingly dead. Later, out of what must be tens of thousands of dead people and animals, the now revived horse and Arya team up. Death rides a pale horse. Can we get any more cliché? It took twenty years but Sienfield no longer has the worst wrap up of any popular series.

How do you folks carry around your comics at a busy show?
shadroch replied to FSF's topic in Comics General
You could always hire Virgil for a bit. He's always at shows and seems to have some free time. https://lonelyvirgil.net/ -

Those are nice, but there are plenty of alternatives at a fraction of the cost. -

I've yet to encounter a problem so can't say what happens when something hits the fan. Hopefully I never find out. -

If you search around at various 99 cent stores, you will find many hard shell tablet protectors for sale. Many of them are a perfect fit for a couple of comics. I bring a couple empty ones to every show. -

Didn't the dwarf and the Knight encounter a dragon on their way south? It seemed bigger than the three Dany had at the time. Any chance Cersi wins?

Bronze age comics that are heating up on eBay...

Now we can not only sell books on what they might grade after pressing, we can see them on their potential film popularity. Has there ever been a better time for collectors to purge their books? -
Would it be Worth Slabbing These Crowdfunded Indies?
shadroch replied to Rakkis's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
You could spend $50 and have it slabbed now hoping it goes up or you could wait to see if it goes up enough to justify slabbing. Tuff call. -

I loved SOS when it came out. Even used Hellstrom as a handle on CB, although no one know who he was. Went back, maybe five years ago, and re-read MS 12-24 and the first couple issues of his title and just don't know why I liked it so much. One issue I fondly remembered had to do with how many holes it took to fill a park. I remembered it as being brilliant, but it was mediocre at best. -

You also need space to work, and sort. I'm looking at six long boxes right now. Short term, you can stack them six high and ten wide, so a 5x10 would work better. Many storage units give a month free or are half price for a month or two. -

Now everyone gets to resubmit. Yay.
