  1. Nonsense. Innocent until proven guilty applies in a court of law. Not the court of public opinion. If you are sure he is the thief, I'd confront him very publicly. If nothing else, you will help out your fellow dealers.
  2. I reserve the right to follow the guy around and make sure every one he comes in contact knows what he did. Sounds like the thief reads these boards, at a minimum.
  3. Only about a third of the outlets selling Marvel Comics received this book. If you squint just right, this might qualify as limited distribution.
  4. Sounds like you are very nonchalant about your booth and your books. Selling a high value book for the price on a bag is a really dumb rookie mistake. It's not like you were the victim of a sophisticated scam, a trusted customer took advantage of you. He will only get away with it if you let him.
  5. Two issues of Elftrek came out in 1986. Available from Mycomicshop at $1.70 a pop.
  6. Does Star Trek meets Elfquest count? Because that has been done. How about publishing a book titled X-Men, and claim it is pronounced zmen? That's been tried.
  7. I had a ton of that stuff but it didn't make the trip out west. Avengers id cards, Marshall Law cards, power rings, much more. Sold them all to a lurker on these boards.
  8. It's an automated response. Gotten it dozens of times.
  9. Didn't the Federal Government subsidize a lot of commercial leases in the area? After the September 11th attack, they were giving incentives like chiclets . Signing a long term lease back then could explain the 40% increase now.
  10. Jimmie Wu or Woo? Sounds like the same guy. He'll be fine.
  11. I believe so. I considered that an indoor flea market. I met them at a show on Northern Blvd in a church a few months before that. The main guy was really young looking and I thought he was in high school. Turned out he was about to graduate college.
  12. It's not what he can do, it's what you've done to yourself if you get a reputation for not following through on agreed upon deals. Your phrasing is difficult. Does the other person think he has a deal?
  13. I remember the kids from Chameleon when they started out. They went from a booth in a flea market to a shop on an obscure side street to a big store on Main Street inside of two years and expanded into Manhattan a couple years later. The original owners were sharp as hell, I don't know if they are still involved.
  14. What is your game plan that makes switching boxes the first priority? I'd think cosmetic changes would come at the end.
  15. #3- first find out if there is any demand for the mini-series.
  16. Perhaps you might consider hiring a negotiator. I'd run away from that deal.
  17. Do strikes still exist? I thought the mods just swoop down and banish you for a few days.
  18. In Pennsylvania, you can go from Blue Ball to Bird in Hand to Intercourse and finish in Paradise all on the same route. Going slightly out of your way gets you to Mount Joy, Fertility, Littletitz, and Climax. Those jolly Amish love a good chuckle.
  19. I believe one of the early grading contest winners was offered a job with the company. Not that it was the prize of the contest, but his winning drew their attention.
  20. Thank you for taking the time to research and write that. It reads like a real labor of love.
  21. Isn't that an argument to slab it? That book would be more dangerous raw that as it is right now. I'm guessing the person is familiar with the book that cgc graded a few years ago where no one noticed the cover was from an entirely different book.
