  1. Because that's where comiclink, comicconnect, and Hake's put their stickers.
  2. Looks like it sold for $12,000. Maybe since grader's notes indicate very light spine stress lines?
  3. Believe it or not I own even more potential beer coasters with my X-Men #5 wins from tonight. I lowballed these even more and they both went for $20 less than my previous wins. I hope I won't be standing outside the grocery store trying to swap these for food and water 6 months from now.
  4. After selling for 3 years on MCS with no problems I've had 4 nonpaying buyers in the last 2 months. Super strange, but fortunately most of it is dreck, not keys that have been dropping by hundreds of dollars in value.
  5. There's a few with covers I like, none of which I own at the moment. Maybe I'll pick up a cheap copy of some of them, although I might be too frugal to get the What If.
  6. Here's my only other slab that I own. A 9.6 from the other guys. And here's a drawing I did of the cover with some Bones added.
  7. I may have overpaid for both of these but I'm glad to have them for my personal collection. The Bone #1 was a comicconnect auction win from maybe over a year ago and the Bone #2 is a 9.6 from the other guys that I picked up recently.
  8. I thought I was lowballing all of these and didn't expect to win a thing at comiclink tonight. Who needs a copy of X-Men #5 in a 9.8 ?
  9. I wasn't aware the issue has gotten better. I can't really notice them on the slabs I display. Maybe it's the angle and the limited lighting or it's possible newton rings are far less common now.
  10. I'm a bit confused. Are you complaining that CGC slabs have newton rings? That's how the slabs are. I thought this was an accepted fact when you send books into them or buy their slabs.
  11. If you head to Berkeley check out Cheese 'n Stuff. They've got great sandwiches.
  12. Would you split up the issues and price them individually? I have a copy of #1 already, but I may be interested in the rest. Thanks!
  13. You forgot to mention the recent fiasco prior to C2E2: Omits crucial information from labels (such as tape on cover, staples added, etc.) despite the overwhelming opposition from collectors.
  14. Don't waste your time reslabbing/regrading 9.8 books. Spend the money on more comics or by having something else graded.
  15. I believe they downgrade to avoid returns, especially on cosignments since they take on not only the cost of the return, but ownership of the book as well since the consigner has already been paid.
  16. @B2D327 Do you also love that I drew the wrong arm? I just noticed it should be his right arm, not the left, but It's too late now, he'll just have to have a right hand on his left arm.
  17. I started this last night and I like how it's turning out so far.
  18. Not at all, looks like I need to pay more attention to detail and add the goggle straps.
  19. I'll probably add batman and batgirl at some point but I like how it's turned out so far.
  20. The wolverine sketch I did about a year and a half ago, trying to recreate Wolverine #1. I hadn't drawn in a over decade and never had much talent but there's been a slight improvement in my skills since then. John Wick looks like he's over 20 ft tall.
