  1. At least you know not to watch that youtuber anymore. He's the king of rambling a bunch of nonsense.
  2. I'm sure not. I'm already on my 7th adderall and haven't slept in almost 40 hours trying to fix this mess. .......is what the IT guy or gal would probably say if they were on this forum
  3. With CGC you never know. Their grading has been so inconsistent over the years. I've never used CCS but I've heard there are much better options out there. As suggested above, post pics and the grader's notes from the 9.2 and the 8.5. Maybe it'll shed some light on what happened, whether it was overgraded the first time or if CCS may have damaged the book.
  4. Sorry about all the health issues you and your family are facing. Did we ever get the seller's name? He's still a person_too_unaware_of_social_graces for not taking the book back and issuing a full refund.
  5. Definitely different graders on the Hawkman and Mysterious Adventures.
  6. Round 1: I hope I'm not in last place Round 2: I'm getting pretty good at this Round 3: I have no idea what I'm doing
  7. Maybe someone should send a memo to ComicTom, since he's promoted their services multiple times in the past. It might be time for him to make another video cautioning his viewers about this business.
  8. I'd leave it as is. You can always make your own sticker or perhaps display it next to his headshot or a nice piece of artwork of him stealing the declaration of independence.
  9. Absolutely insane. The only way I would ever send anything to him is if he put a deposit with me down for the value of the comic I send him. Worst case scenario I get paid the FMV of the book. Best case is, I pay him when the work is complete and give his deposit back.
  10. I hope they at least gave you the option to send the book back if they ever turn things around with no forfeiture of what you've already paid and without losing your place in a years long line.
  11. Not yet. I confirmed with @Hero Restoration that they're planning on it, but it will take a couple years because of the current workload.
  12. Same here. I think spending too much time on MCS has ruined my grading, which makes it strange how I was over on the Hawkman.
  13. After spending 3 minutes on grading, my results weren't that bad. Maybe I should work under pressure more often.
  14. 10 PM EST!!!! That give me 5 minutes...these grades aren't going to be good. Edit: PM sent just before 10PM. I thought it was PST at first.
  15. It shouldn't cost more than uninsured USPS registered mail. Either the owner's collector's insurance policy or Hero Restoration's insurance will cover anything lost in the mail if certain conditions are met, such as using an authorized carrier/shipping option with signature confirmation. That's the benefit of having a policy, you don't have to spend needless money on double coverage that won't even apply or be paid out if they purchase through USPS, since another policy is inforce and existed prior.
  16. I will add $100 to this endeavor. Once NP confirms, I will send a Paypal F&F to Mike. Just @Dr. Balls me in the followup post. I hope this is on the condition that the $3200 that @NP_Gresham paid is returned to him with the book if the restoration hasn't been performed.
  17. I don't have much to add. I'm as confused as you are. I was on kickstarter only a few days ago and was browsing the most popular comics when I had similar thoughts and no desire to purchase anything.
  18. I'm in. Good luck y'all. 1. ADAMANTIUM 2. zzutak 3. scburdet 4. grendelbo 5. Mars 76 6. jbpez 7. youfoundjake 8. JollyComics 9. davidking623 10. Lninefingers 11. AJD 12. Nilo2 13. 19. I'm skeptical that this film will be any good. I can only think of a couple movies where one actor plays multiple roles without having a drastic change in appearance like many great Eddie Murphy films and I don't get sick of them: 1. Multiplicity 2. Double Impact I think Ezra overload might ruin it for me, but maybe I'm overlooking some movies that might be great despite too much of one actor. Do any other movies come to mind for you guys?
  20. I think the last movie I saw on my birthday was King Ralph and it's still a masterpiece to this day. Maybe you should pick the movie next time.
  21. I actually used to be the king of putting my foot in my mouth, but I thought this was remedied years ago. I'm glad you've provided an update, so I can stop making assumptions. That being said, I don't know him or you, so my advice about contacting the insurance company remains the same, especially if I paid him $3200 four years ago and didn't have my money or my property back.
