  1. I actually saved that email it was pretty simple . I got my answer anyways . I’m happy just to have one of these . I don’t have lots of money to buy high end comic art and being a fan of character since early childhood this one meant a lot to get. Appreciate the response I know you’re respected in the comic community for your knowledge and access to amazing art .
  2. These are very cool and you have a lot of art so I can understand having to figure out a way to archive and enjoy these as there is no way to frame everything up . Very tastefully done I didn’t know about these types of storage options
  3. I’ll enjoy this one for years to come on my wall. Just for giggles I contacted Romitaman art for his thoughts on authenticity . The response “ What do you want for it ?”. nuff said! currently at framers ....
  4. I believe that picture is one of his books.
  5. There was story I read from a fanzene of a young Everett fan that has some of the best signatures and comic pages signed by Everett years ago. Some of these items are absolute grails as he also has Carl Burgos sign a famous splash page with Everett. His name was Warren Reece ( bitd surname was Storob ) comics he had signed were Marvel Comics 1 the 1939 October date edition his was autographed by Everett, Burgos and Fred Schwab Bill Everett also signed Marvel Comics 1 on first page on right hand margin. He followed this by signing the flowing issues 2,7,8,9,10 Marvel Mystery Comics in first page right margin of each Submariner story . He also received a sketch that day from Bill of Submariner. The article is amazing and is found in Alter Ego # 108.
  6. Nice examples are few and far between I guess. His signed stuff would have been sketches or specialty pieces. I’m not sure if he signed comic pages . Good question I can’t help much but I’d love to know myself
  7. You did do something . You posted your story so others can read it and hope to stay away from that garbage. I hope to meet him one day in person if he’s stupid enough to come to Canada . Let’s say he wouldn’t feel comfortable
  8. He’s trash that’s why. Not an artist at all he’s a criminal . This is his scam .
  9. Something I added to my personal collection recently . I know it’s not a published page but being a lifelong Submariner fan I’m so happy to have an illustration from the creator himself . Currently being framed so I can update later. Illustrated at NYCC in 1970
  10. I was reported nobody is monitoring th is thread and being called aggressive when I only have handful of posts is ludicrous . I only visit sharing my Timelys thread where I look at books mostly . Same people come on and always attack then report . I don’t care . i am chill very chill don’t need picture of half naked man which is clearly derogatory to relax. Leave me alone how about that !
  11. I don’t think it would protect against UV so art glass would be best route for that . My concern for Mylar is getting glare from it under glass which would make viewing art from angles annoying . I use anti reflective glass as well. Early on I framed a piece that was normal glass and realized quite quickly the ceiling lighting and natural lighting just bounces off the glass and I couldn’t see the art .
  12. Let’s see those pictures clearly certain characters like to listen to themselves talk instead of posting . Couldn’t care less about there false statements and the only aggressive behaviour here is constant attacks I receive everytime I post .
  13. Actually it was someone here that reported me on this thread for posting my art . Seems little child like and what’s the picture of the half naked guy for ? Am I being harassed again .
  14. No I’m good here this thread is about framing art so let’s see them
  15. I think we need to see some framed art .....
  16. I just want to enjoy them . Life is too short for putting things away lol. I’ve been doing that since my childhood days I said to myself nows the time . I’m in my mid 40s when will I be able to sit and smile looking at these beauties or show them off to those interested to ask. I enjoy that . I get to talk about the stories that went with them and share that with someone that may pass it along and so forth . it keeps the art alive and fresh to me . My collecting methods work for me and what I try to do . Maybe it’s not for everyone . I’ll get more finished pictures of all the art it should soon be ready for a proper room tour ....
  17. Not sure why you think saving art in folders is relevant ! It’s not art inside a portfolio . I’m pretty sure most of us are not museum curators so buying art to store in folders you could do better with medium . it’s like buying music and not listening to it . That’s an art form as well
  18. Looking for anything really that has great depiction of each of these characters by John Byrne . Namor the Submariner Black Suit Spiderman I’ve included couple examples of what I’d like if possible along these lines anyways
  19. Those look great . White matte works well with OG page art
  20. I totally understand a space that would look cluttered . In my case I knew I had to have a game plan on what and where I would display my fav stuff tastefully. I kept my theme uniform and framed most with similar themes so it looked cohesive and clean yet displayed my vision . It’s still ongoing because the framing gets costly and adds zero value to my art but really does the pieces justice and protects them for me.
  21. That’s nice . I don’t think that’s what art is for . It’s meant to be out . I could care less about what visitors think as well.
